OK, so I guess the solution would be to use a Looper control. Seems easy enough. Thanksby JP - WinDev Forum
Hi All WDMobile 25: Is there a way to trap a swipe action in a window? I know about the internal window swipe control but that is something different. I want the user to be able to use swipe left/right in a window to see the previous/next record details. Any way to trap a swipe action? Thanksby JP - WinDev Forum
Yup, I'll second that, Ola. Merry Christmas everyone Cheersby JP - WinDev Forum
Hi Stefan Thanks for the reply. I understand but the problem is slighlty different. I want to display a window (e.g. a popup message window) which I need the user to read and then click the OK button before it closes and returns to the program that called the popup. However, using OpenMobileWindow() opens the window and displays it but execution does not stop at that window. Instead it retuby JP - WinDev Forum
Hi All WDM25 - Question about open mobile windows: When I use OpenMobileWindow() to display a new window the execution of code returns (or stays) with the program that called that function. So the window does not open in what under Windows we would call Modal i.e. the user is not forced to acknowledge the new window like clicking an OK or Cancel button. Execution continues immediately in thby JP - WinDev Forum
Thanks Argus. Got it working from that article. ANSI string. Cheersby JP - WinDev Forum
Hi All WinDev Mobile 25 Android Trying to encode a string with base64 using: sEncoded_Data = Encode( sMy_Data , encodeBASE64 ) This works fine and I get an encoded string back. In the same app I can decode is using: Decode( sEncoded_Data , encodeBASE64 ) Also works fine. In the mobile app I get the original string back. Good. However, if I copy the encoded string to a windowsby JP - WinDev Forum

Hi All Using WinDev Mobile 25 I have a test app which calls a web URL e.g. www.mydomain.com I use HTTPRequest() for that. I then use HTTPGetResult() to get the contents of the HTTP request. When I display this content (e.g using INFO() ) I get all strange characters. if I save this returned content using fsavetext() and then read that saved file back using floadtext() then theby JP - WinDev Forum
Hi All Phew, trying to build my first mobile app How does one program for swiping? i.e. Have a window displayed and allow the user to swipe left to see another window and the swipe right again to go back to the first window? Hi All I'm using WinDev Mobile 25, 32 bit install. Running the PCSoft provided GPS example. When trying to run the app as a test on my Samsung A20 phone I often get a Windows message saying that the "ADB.EXE applciation has stopped working". I can check online for solution or close the program. I close the program. Even so, sometimes the app still appears on my smart-phonby JP - WinDev Forum
HI All Is it normal for the creation of the APK, and even the running of a test on the device, to take so long to start? It seems a very long time that the Gradle takes to setup and finish. Is it normal or is my laptop just slow I am running the 32bit version of WinDev Mobile 25 but I cannot imagine that makes so much difference? TIAby JP - WinDev Forum
OK, thanks. I notice that if I just uncheck the "always check this aplication type" checkbox on the warning screen that the next time I try and run it, Windows does not ask/warn again. I gues Windows is remembering my choice for that exe. Thaks for the info, will check into it.by JP - WinDev Forum
Guenter Sorry, I am not even using a setup package. I compiled the EXE on my dev machine as I always do. Then transfered it to my own server, as I always have done. But previously it just ran in versions WD24 and prior. But now it has thi "unknown publisher" thing going on. How does one get a signature certificat for this purpose? And why does this happen in WD25 but not WD24 andby JP - WinDev Forum
Guenter This is Windows Server 2012 on which I have run previous versions of this app in previous versions of WinDev with never seeing this message. Signing the app - I have never signed WinDev apps. Is this required now in WD25 ?by JP - WinDev Forum
Hi All So I upgraded some WD24 apps to WD25 - just recompiled them. They work fine on my machine. I transferred to a Windows 2012 server and now when I try and run them I get "trying to run a program from an unknown publisher" message which I have to allow to run the apllication. Never had this with any prior version of WinDev when we upgraded our apps. Any ideas how to solve this anby JP - WinDev Forum
Thanks Infos, Alen, Arie, Very useful information. Thanks very much JPby JP - WinDev Forum
Arie, Thanks. Wonderful news Yes, our app will be free but might have a subscription level - I dont know right now. Does Android app store have the same craziness? Or can we do it all on Windows?by JP - WinDev Forum
Thanks Arie. Do I understand you correctly that for iOS apps I need to buy a MacBook in order to do something on it in order to submit the iOS app to the Apple app store? Thanksby JP - WinDev Forum
Hi Allnot I need to develop my first basic mobile app. Never done it before. Would anyone be willing to layout the basic steps involved and any things to be alerted to so that I can avoid the common pitfalls and not re-invent the wheel Thanksby JP - WinDev Forum
Hi All In a WinDev 24 project I have a window containing a table which is populated by code. I have a routine which processes some records and adds them to the table and this all works perfect. If I convert this project to WinDev 25 this no longer works. Now only the 1st record is displayed in the table. All the records are actually processed (I checked) but only the first record displays.by JP - WinDev Forum
Ola On our dedicated servers there is no problem to also run the apps directly on the server even with many users logged on and running the app in virtual mode. No problem. Therefore, I assume you can do the same on a workstation. I guess the concern would be if the workstation has enough resources to support the number of concurrent users you expect to have. App must be multi-user and allby JP - WinDev Forum
Frans We do this with all MSOffice applications and it works OK. We create the XLS file (for example) but we have to put it in a web accessible folder. So we create a "temp" folder inside the TSPlus www folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\TSplus\Clients\www\TempFiles We then copy the XLS file into that temp folder and then execute ShellExecute() on that XLS file in that folder.by JP - WinDev Forum
Hi All I have been using WebDev for a while and do like it. I have 4 websites up and running in WebDev 23. However, every time I have ever bought a new version of WebDev and tried to upgrade my sites I end up with so many problems. I always end up scrapping the WebDev on the server completely, reinstalling from scratch, and re-uploading all my sites from scratch (after recompiling in the newerby JP - WinDev Forum

Frans If the machine on which you run your app has a copy of MS Word you could automate it; create an object of it, use that to open the DOCX, and resave as a DOC. This is one option. JPby JP - WinDev Forum
