Hello I can't get the syntax correct for MenuExist() The help example is quite misleading as it includes an ID but makes no mention of it IF MenuExist(MyMenu, "OpenCustomer" + ID) = False THEN I have tried all possible combinations with and without quotes but nothing seems to give me a return value of true when I use the function. Hello Once again the Windev Groupware - GPU version is causing me headaches. I use the print preview window as a standalone window - not as an internal component. This lets me use project code inside it, which can't be done when it is a component In prior versions, I have inserted a button in the Export ribbon of the Preview window to call an smtp emailing process that opens anotherby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Following on from my issues with the inbuilt Windev groupware, I have kept on investigating and have found that the various GPU_ data files can be accessed within a Windev program without using any of the inbuilt GPW functions. PCSoft kept the original GPW functions for backward compatibility and extended their use to include the newer GPU_ groupware data files. I have set these optby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter I finally got the current version groupware to work. I had to re-write portions of the following procedures so that I could read in the older version data. bMigrateAssociationsGroupsUsers bMigrateGroups bMigrateRights I am allowing for the fact that we all have our own coding preferences, but the code in the Win_GPU windows and procedures is over complex and appears to bby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello In V22 I am using the old style groupware from V17. As part of my investigation into converting to V24 I am looking into the latest version of the groupware. Hello Christoff The only thing I could find was ..image Maybe you could substitute another image with a different border colour for the button ? Hello Reg The WDSetup example has a License window that looks like it might work for you. I think that one of the components also had a licence page but can't remember which one. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter Thanks for the heads up. I have 1,600 + occurrences of datetostring() in one app and all without the format information. Most can be changed with about a series of find and replace where the field names are common but there are still around 400 to change by hand. This is obviously linked to the problem with data masks showing incorrectly and it seems like they have screwedby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter, Thank you very much, the Free transactions option of WDTrans did the trick. I didn't know it existed as I don't use transactions. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello A client has reported receiving the following error: . Record accessed by an unsuccessful transaction not canceled yet. Cancel the transaction before accessing record. Hello All, Over the last few months, the vertical scroll bar in the IDE Project Explorer would go missing. I used to be able to get it back by closing down and re-starting or turning the coverage on and off but now it appears to be gone forever. Has anybody else experienced this and have any idea how to get it back ? Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Michael Have you patched your copy of V18 ? See this message: Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello, If you are looking for update 75t to fix the mask issue in V24, don't bother as everything is still the same. All my date fields that should have DD/MM/YYY show as JJ/MM/YYYY It may not matter during the execution, but it is the wrong mask for English Labguage apps, it is disconcerting to see it all the time, it is a constant reminder of a failure by PCSoft and a simple thing lby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Nick The "NetworkUser" constant holds the name of the current Windows user so you could pass that through to your login process and they could enter their password. For passthrough identification of the domain credentials, you would need to look into the LDAP options of the Windev user groupware through the Workshop option in the IDE or manually through code- look up LDAP in tby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello I thought that Steven's suggestion to try an export and then import was worth experimienting with, indeed it was a process that I didn't know existed It was a complete disaster, so that is one option I will never try again. First it took nearly 14 hours to import the project. The imported project had missing parts and showed 7,000 + errors Most windows that I opened anby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Steven Sounded like a good idea at the time. I exported a V22 project and then started the import in V24. Five + hours later it is still going and the cpl folder is up the the letter "J" I will let you know about your idea when/if it finishes the import. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter The regional settings argument doesn't fly. I set up multiple languages in my project and had the same error. I converted my entire app to French and had the same error. It is only the fields from previous projects that are incorby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello V23 doesn't exhibit the problem and I have tried V24 as 32 & 64 bit with the same errors Does anyone know if this has shown up as a concern in the French forums ? Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter Thanks for the idea, it may work. It could also be interesting to try it with V24 to see how the mix and match of all three WXproducts might work. Hello I haven't updated my projects in V24 yet but tests show the date mask has changed from DD/MM/YYYY to JJ/MM/AAAA It displays the dates ok but the mask is certainly odd.
