Hello Not that I have any intention of developing an Apple app - been there and still have bad dreams, but ... The MDM server notes: Under IOS, an InHouse type subscription must be taken out From what I can find on the web, the restrictions on the Enterprise/in-house distribution are as follows: The Apple Developer Enterprise Program is only for the internal use and distribution of pby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello If I can just add a little. Ctrl S saves. Alt S saves all Ctrl Shift W closes all open items - hopefully this also means they are written to disk. So I always Alt S and then Ctrl Shift W before closing and I run them both about every 10 minutes while I am working I also have the Force Flush" option ticked and the Auto backup set to 5 minutes in the General Windev Optionsby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Ola I came to Windev from Foxpro and because their memo fields were not 100% reliable I adopted a process of making my own memo files using a separate file with a memo field and keys to link it back to the source file. That one file provides memos for every other file. Turns out that Windev memo's are quite stable and I didn't need to do that but I was always worried about thby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello ISO I have my project in OneDrive for a few months now and have not had any problems. This is just single user though so I don't know how it would perform or handle multiple users. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello jcsoft If you want help you need to supply more than just a vague statement demanding help. What version of Windev and what product and what sort of table ??? The totaling of a column is set in the "Details" tab of a table column and I would assume that you do NOT have the Sum option ticked. Hello Ola From Windows File Explorer: Right click on the folder > Properties > Customize > Change Icon Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Ola I skipped V23, I do still use Win7 (Pro & SP1) Windev applies its own version number folder icons to some folders I can recall something similar a few years ago and I resolved it by changing the icons to standard Windows folder icons so maybe try that. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Paul You could write your own function to do the following in the init code of the control Myself..state = inactive Myself..brushcolor = whatever Myself..color = whatever Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Aad It's been awhile since I have done it but from memory, the Multitask() function allow for the activty that is running to suspend for a micro second and nominated intervals and while the activity is suspended it will accept a keystroke. You might have to play with it to get it going or someone might have an example. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Balde For the images, you can try creating some invisible image controls on a window that link to the images from the project directory - any window will do. This will embed them in the project exe For the colours, if they are named window constants e.g "lightred" then in a table you can reference them in the tabledisplay() event or just in the code. For a row Table..by Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Balde This is an English Language forum - Please post in English Google translate works quite well Hello!!!! I have a problem with an application that I developed on windev, when I generate the executable after installation certain images do not appear and the colors that I have colored certain texts do not color ... Hello Aad You could create a file of HCrossed records to speed up the lookup and restore Every time you use HCross() add a record containing Filename, Hrecnum(), date & time, NetworkUser() - the guilty person - to the deleted records file With an index on the filename and the date/time you could quickly isolate records and restore directly from the record number without having to go thrby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello Ola I do appreciate your angst - I have a special place on my office wall to bang my head against for some of PCSoft's inexplicable ways - but then I balance that against all the amazing things that this crazy tool - Windev - can do for us and on balance we are ahead by miles It looks like you will have to roll your own and create a data file with a list of control names with asby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello Frans Thanks for the heads up I was in the process of downloading the latest version when you posted this so I did as suggested. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Argus How about PCSoft stop changing the rules with every release. They accept the word "State" as a field in the analysis. I can't find anywhere else in the application where Windev rejects the field or column name. It is just this one instance of trying to fill a combo box in a table where the column name is "State" and Windev throws an error This is clby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All V25 has objected to a table column called "State" It showed an error for a GlinkActivate(Table.State) column that has been ok on all previous versions. "No syntax of GLinkactivate is compatible" Countries have states (Australia has 6, USA has 50) so it is normal to use the term but I imagine that Windev is confusing it with its own ..state property. Hello Aad I always leave earlier patches in place at the client site so each new patch only needs the new things. This also keeps the patches small in size. I delete the old patches when a new exe is installed If my latest patch did contain all the earlier items then I could delete the previous patches at the client site when adding the new patch, but I would always worry that maybe I haby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Noel If it is failing on opening the PCSoft repository and if you can get to it before it tries, make sure that the Windev General options Help is set to use Local Help. That may stop it going out to the web to open the repository. In the old days, holding the shift key down when Windev opened used to stop it loading previous projects so that might help here ?? Hello Frans If you have MS Word available to act as a server, then MS Offiffice automation can be used to open and save the document. I have a find and replace routine written for me by a friend that uses office automation but I haven't used it for a few years because I switched to GemBox. Hello Aad You can include the earlier windows, but I never have as I couldn't see the point and the patches get progressively larger if you do. I always use the "None" option to clear out the previous windows so that my patches only contain the new changes. There is always less chance of conflicts if the patches are essentially stand alone packages without any baggage from preby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Frans I use the GemBox routines to manage MS Word documents and whenever it saves a document it has opened, it saves it in .docx format so it could be used as a file converter. However if the integrated word processor functions can open a .doc file, could you build a function using the FFile() commands to read a directory and loop though the .doc files just opening them and then dby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Hello Ola I have never mastered or seen the need for using the skin templates. Indeed one discerning client remarked that the design skills I display in my apps bring back memories of DOS for him. I just use the insert option to create the combo box and then use the style option to select a style from those already in use on the project I have never created a combo box by draggiby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Aad The option to "Reinitialize (Clear the History)" should set it all back to 001 The next full project exe that you issue and install on your client sites will not load any patches issued prior to its creation. You can then delete the patches on the client site. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello Aad The patches are created in the "Patch" folder of the project and also in the "Exe" folder of the project. I use them all the time and they are brilliant for both a quick fix and a major update. I have also used them to explore options & changes with specific clients.
