Hello Derek As far as the solution NFI, but... If you don't get a solution from anyone and you are correct and it is a databind problem. A quick workaround option could be to create a memory table with exactly the same field names that are returned by the query and then base the report on the memory table. It should just pick up the names from the table without any other work involveby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All I found the reason for the TableSelectPlus() command working on combo boxes in my project In my project code there this code : ExecutionMode(PermissiveMode + ExternalCallsOptimized) From the Help file Used to:•find out and/or modify the behavior of the application or site when some errors are generated. Hello All Interesting development. I wrote to PCSoft Tech Ssupport disputing their answer and received a reply that they had tested the command inV22 and it failed so there was no issue. I created a window in my V22 project with a combobox and a button to excute a TableSelectPlus() command on the combo box - it worked perfectly. I created a new project to send to PCSoft and placed justby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All I had a reply from Tech Support yesterday. "It looks like the command was never meant to operate on a combobox control" Unfortunately, there was no mention of the fact that it always did and PCSoft must have changed it to break it. Also no mention of the breaking of the oft stated PCSoft mantra that each version is completely backwards compatible and that they have bby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Ola Wer are indeed kindred spirits. I have progressed from my boyhood indoor railways in gauges "O", "HO" and "N" to now the great outdoors with "G" gauge. At the moment it is in pieces and packed away but I hope to get it all laid again out next summer. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello All The discussion with cccs about a problem with the project graph led me to think about my work environment with Windev and to consider whether there might be some general advantage to us all in sharing our work environments. As a sole programmer, this forum is my only contact with my Windev colleagues - thank you Gunter My layout works for me and I am comfortable with it but I apby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello ccc2, My view is that there will always be issues of one sort or another with the development environment and if I can't find a quick solution, I work around it so that my work continues and then come back later on. For example, my V22 Windev often crashes if I allow the regeneration of the analysis to perform the inbuilt task of also modifying the file structures in my test databy Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All Recently, I sent tech support requests to PCSoft - two on 25/04/2019 and another two on 01/05/2019. To date I have received no answer beyond the standard acknowledgment for any of them. I am curious if anyone else is experiencing this sort of delay. I have just sent a query about this delay to Tech support However from the reference number of the first query to the latest thereby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello ccc2, Not sure why it is slow unless you have reached some critical size but I have never used the Project Graph or the Configuration window. I use the Project Explorer as it breaks project items into their basic groups - Windows, Reports, Queries etc. Within each of those groups, I setup specific custom folders to sub group everything - in my case alphabetically so I have custom foldeby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Yogi One solution would be to go into the developer section of Google and add in a privacy document and presumably a link to it from the app. You should be able to pick up a document somewhere on the web. That would solve the imediate issue of getting the app back into the store and give you time to sort out the real issue of what it is in your app that is triggering the privacy IDby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter I have sent in a tech request and I will report back. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello DW Thanks for the quick response. I guess I was a bit twitchy after finding the problem with TableSelectPlus(). I didn't even think about the spelling. It must be a change to the spell checker process in V24 Turning off the spell check in the strings "fixes" it. There are "only" 343 instance of that usage so one day I might start changing them over to Execby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All This seems to be my day for finding changes between V22 and V24. Maybe I shouldn't have skipped V23 The following construction works in both versions: Execute("Radio1..modif") The possible issue is that when the code is viewed in V24, the "modif" segment has a wavy red line under it so I am not sure what that means for now or in the future. Hello All, Prior to V24, the TableSelectPlus() command worked on the ComboBox control. It now gives an error "<ControlName> is not a table" on execution (I did not relase any code in V23 so I am not sure if the change occured in that version) The code editor does not register the use of TableSelectPlus on a combobox as an error and the compiler does not record an errorby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All The same dll is also present in all the sub directories of ..\Programs\Framework\UniversalApps for all the Windev products. It looks like a standard common dll setup across all the products. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Infos It sounds like dll's are being included in the exe where they may not have been before. Have a look at the dll's that are ticked in section 5 (Framework) of the process that creates the exe and compare that to an earlier version of the project if possible. It may be that the inclusion of the wd???gpu.dll has trigered the inclusion of other dll's and turning oby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All That's it for me I am not going to even look at any more new stuff in V24, just recompile my current applications and pray. The IBR options looked interesting even if the process with setting up business rules seems to be quite convoluted. Anyway, I tried to setup a business rule attached to the project and Windev crashed At the time I was playing with the image gallery eby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello Derek Thanks again for your detective work. I was also just testing with only a window so no analysis or variable to encourage the other looper options to appear. I suppose that a message or two from PCSoft on the looper creation screen to explain why the options were unavailable or simply remove or grey them out would have been a better choice. I think you were right though in nby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All I thought I would check out the new gallery control in V24. Firstly it is not a control. It looks to be just an implementation of a looper and from the help I couldn't figure out how to even get started because it says that you have to create it from a preset control and there didn't appear to be one in the preset controls. Hello All I can see some advantages in the web download approach to the examples but the downside is that it is painfully slow to operate and most of the examples are the same old error ridden ones we are used to. My solution to the table is to export it. The Excel and XML exports don't work because the results are unreadable, however the RTF export works ok and once you trim the colby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Ola I totally ignore the rep files. For WDOptimizer I right click in the table and "Remove All" and then right click again and "Add all the directory files" Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Ola I too have a lot of test data in separate folders. Each folder of test data is inside my "TestData" folder so updating them all is simple. I do it manually using WDModfic and just set it to point at the upper level "TestData" folder and tick the box to run it on sub directories, so one run of WDModfic does them all. Hello Jeff As a one off, grab the phone, plug it into your development computer and load it as part of the generation process. You could always setup a google account and load it into the play store. I haven't tried it but here is a link that might help Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Ola Still thinking Do you print direct using a combination of IParameter() and IDestination() settings. Is it possible that the settings are sending the report to a file and not the printer ? Hello Patrick, If there are a number of those edit controls in a window you could create a duplicate set of edit controls without the "Automatic End of Input" and place them on another plane and then switch to that plane. I think this is the simplest. If there are only a couple of fields then still create duplicate fields but put each set of fields into a different group and turnby Al - WinDev Forum
