Hello Steven It was a clean install of all three products as an integrated package I did turn off my virus protection software while the install was running. I did not tick the option to install it respecting the Microsoft conventions. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello JP I have just loaded V26 onto a Win10 PC and the IDE is just the same horrible mess. I am just realising that this new IDE is by design ! It is so bad, I genuinely thought it was broken or there was a fault in my PC. I am staggered that a company from a country renowned for style and elegance, a country that created the Citroen DS - my second car, the Eiffel tower and that incredby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Paul I have persevered and if I open a window, drag it out side the IDE and then drag it back in it stays in a window and doesn't revert back to taking up the whole IDE pane. Still nowhere near as good as V25 but more workable. As I have said in the past, at PCSoft there should be huge signs on every wall, on every screen saver, in fact everywhere you look; If it ain'tby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello I downloaded V100J and the UI is the same unworkable mess it was in the unfinished versions. Maybe it just doesn't work in Win7 anymore - I will try it out in Win10 over the weekend. Ever window I open, opens full size within the main IDE window with no options to make it smaller so I can see more than one window in the IDE window. The only solution appears to dragging the winby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Steven My apps started life in V5.5 and there have been a couple of changes since then Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Steven I am glad V26 works for you. For me it has been a complete waste of time. Following your comments I thought I would try again, so I downloaded the whole thing and installed it as an integrated IDE for all three products. Same issue as before with the non appearance of the edit window. However the app doesn't run from the "GO" button In the project code, theby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter It happens in the table editor Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Have they fixed the V25 bug in the table, where if you click on an existing column name to edit it, the column moves to the left ? Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Jeff All can offer is a couple of trouble shooting thoughts. To state the obvious, you need to track down the difference between your test environment and the clients The report writer is WYSIWYG and uses the current printer driver to create the report - try setting the printer to a pdf printer and use the same pdf driver as your client - Foxit provide a free one. Hello Guenter It has me stumped as well. None of the areas on the screen - except the major dev window have borders or max/min/close options I have uninstalled and re-installed and cleared the environment but nothing fixes it. I can get a window around the home page if I click in the top left hand corner and drag it down. but it just reverts to full size when I open a project window. If Iby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter Thanks but I didn't explain myself very well. Every window including the home page opens up to the full size. They consume the entire space under the menu bar and there is no option to reduce their size. If I open a project window or a report, they do the same. The underlying space is completely covered Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All Just trying out WD26. I opened a WD25 project and all the windows are full size. There do not seem to be any options to make them smaller or even to tile them. I hope someone has a solution otherwise this is a disaster Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Günter I agree with Peter and I question the need to have web software in a lot of instances. "Webifying" a Windows PC app can already be done without any intervention by PCSoft and there would still need to be major work done at the screen design / size level in which case it might be better to start from scratch. I use TSPlus on the AWS servers I supply to clients and theby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Michael I have a lookahead() process that runs in the whenever modified field. For me it triggers after a certain number of characters are entered. Maybe you could do something similar except use timersys() or a hidden timer button to wait before running the search. You might also need to test for Keypressed() for VK_Space and VK_Back or just test to see if it is alpha or numeric bby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello ANI Why not email TSPlus direct ? I have always found their support to be very good Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello All FYI I haven't bothered to start using V25 until the other day when I ran into a problem with the sub total fields on breaks on a memory table. The table had 15 columns with sub totals on 6 columns. It worked ok but sometimes the sub total fields did not line up - the anchoring option did not work. I had to add sub totals into more columns ending up with 10 sub total fieldsby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Kevin You don't have to input the data manually. Just use Windev and hlistItem() to collect the data and maintain it. Here is a link to a Windev repository post I made years ago - it is a bit rough but it will extract all the data in an analysis Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Kevin Look at "ControlClone" and "ControlCreate" in the help. Also look at HListItem() to get a list of the file fields There are also some file manager classes in the WXPerrts blog and you tube that may give you some more ideas Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Sivaprakash From the help on TableSort Canceling a sort that was previously defined on a memory Table or TreeView Table control <Result> = <Table control>.Sort(<False>) <Result>: Boolean •True if the sort was canceled, •False if a problem occurred. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello DW Yes the search is broken You can switch to the local help in the "General options of Windev" - much faster than the web Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello JP Fabrice posted all his Windev lessons from 2007 onto YouTube This one is Mobile Basics It may give you some direction. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello AadG That filter syntax allows Windev to use whatever index it thinks will work best and yes it should always work but maybe try with the full filter syntax I presume the index in file Klachten is VVCLEUNIK SearchKey = HFilter(Klachten,VVCLEUNIK,VV.VVCLEUNIK,VV.VVCLEUNIK);TableDisplay(TABLE,taInit) Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Joe I agree that the time discrepancy is big but if the exe runs ok why is the test speed a problem ? To make the test run faster try closing and re-opening Windev Try turning off the display of global variables To test the speed of functions in the program you can use the profiler Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum

Hello I haven't got around to using V25 yet but I was wondering if setting the Autobackup to a short time like 5 minutes and also ticking the Flush option in the General Windev options might help. I have the "Compile in background" un-ticked. I have no need of the SCM so that is not a factor for me. These are the settings I always use anyway. Regards Alby Al - WinDev Forum
Hello Ola I have not had the same problems but I don't copy a lot of existing controls into the same form and then edit them. If I have a lot of controls or a table, I copy them into a blank form, edit them in there and then copy them back.
