My major client is concerned about cyber attacks. Has anyone experienced a problem with WinDev applications?by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
FYI PC Soft technical support has accepted by issue as valide and assigned a case number. When it will be fixed is unknown but they say they will inform me.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
I have an SQL Server table imported from Visual Manufacturing that has a definition of (Image, null) in SQL and in WD 26 analysis it is defined as image (binary memo) sub type. The field actually has a string of hex characters. In WD 23 I could use it as a string. However in WD 26 the debugger shows it as having a value = image and only the first letter get used. See attached file. Any suggestby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks Argus, That was the hint I needed. The project still had the WDGPU components in the project list. Once I removed them from the project, problem solved.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
I was previously using the full customization option in WD 23 then went back to No Customization in WD26 due to errors in groupware and constant messages saying the WDGPU analysis was out of date but it worked. After a lot experimenting, I finally removed WDGPU analysis and put the groupware files in my project analysis and got them updated to work correctly. However, my project shows two Uby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Yes, there are two Native driver dlls in the framework when I generate my project, wd260sqlserver64.dll which exists and wd260sqlserver2_64.dll which does not. Then I get warnings that the ..2_64.dll is missing do you want to continue. The waring says the deployment site does not have "Native PC SOFT Connector" license.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
For some reason, my project setup is trying to include wd260sqlserver2_64 which does not exist. Can someone explain why and how to remove that from the framework?by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
The more I experiment, I see that the problem seems to be that the composite keys in the two files being linked are slightly different. So I tried to create a link in the analysis that created the matching composite key in the SQL data. Of course I can't do that in the live data as it is controlled bye the vendor, Infor (new owner of Visual Manufacturing) but will see what happens.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Yes, I tried that and it does not try to create the keys.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Here is a question for you SQL gurus, I am importing new SQLServer file definitions from an SQLServer2019 database using the Native SQL Server Connector for WINDEV and it wants to create FKEYs but gets errors like the following: Unable to create the "FKEY0134" relation (Source column: "dbo.WORK_ORDER.TYPE,BASE_ID,LOT_ID,SPLIT_ID,SUB_ID", Linked column: "dbo.WORKORDEby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Just realized that our server HF Server and Control Center is version 25 by copying the wdmod250_64.dll sync does work. In other words, you have to copy the wdmodxx0_64.dll that matches your WD xx HF Control Center version. That is if you are running the 64 bit version. I have it working for 21, 25, and 26 now. I am not sure what is needed for 32 bit, but since the wdmodxx0.dll s for 23,24,25by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Hello All, Yes, this is a long standing problem. After more testing it also seems to be fixed only on my development machine. I can synchronize my localhost and a remote server. However, if I copy the wdmod260_64.dll to the server control center, it can't sync its own files or the HF server on the development machine. I wonder if it has to do with Windev development being open some how?by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks, That did fix the problem and looking at the new dlls copied, I suspected it is wdmod260_64.dll. Further testing did show that to be true. There is a wdmod260.dll but this is a 64 bit server.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
When I try to synchronize data and structure in the HF Control Center. I get the message "Unable to start data synchronization. The DLL was not loaded. What DLL and how to fix this?by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Greetings, I have a report that has a break on part number. The report works fine for three parts on my machine and the client's machine, however when I print or export to Excel I get all three parts, but the client gets only the first part. So there is some difference in the print preview between the machines. Any ideas would be appreciated. Update: Thanks to my wife's experieby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Greetings to all, I have been creating word documents with reports for a long time using iDestination(iGenericRTF, <filename>.doc) and then opening the file with Word. My client just went from Office 2013 to Office 2019 without a problem. I thought. I was making some changes and emailed the .doc file for review and the logo shifts to the left margin. After some testing I realized Thunby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks for all the information, Guenter. It actually turned out that a desktop.ini file was in the directory but hidden such that I could not find it without help. The IT server administrator found it with ztree. Thanksby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks for the suggestion. However, that does not seem to be the problem. I have no replication set on the project or the server. Also the rep file does not have any desktop.ini files in it's list. I had to turn off auto calculation again. Any other suggestions?by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
I installed HFSQL 25 on my client's machine and set notifications to come to me. I am getting constant critical errors: Subject: Serveur HFSQL 320-server:4900 : error during automatic recalculation of statistics An error occurred while automatically calculating the statistics of <ISCO-Data\desktop.ini> file. The file <E:\HF Server Data\ISCO-Data\desktop.ini> is not in HFby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks for the suggestion, Guenter, I did start using HFSQL v25 for our server with good success. So with your recommendation, we will install that at all the WD 23 sites.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
We are still on WD23 which is working well for our schools that my wife, Connie supports. I have basically retired and only help with the schools. I also support a couple of non-profits and one long time client that requires Native SQL driver. Of course, all schools are currently shut down and will not start up until next year at the earliest. My question to all of you active developers isby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
I am curious to get feedback on the reliability of HF Server v21 versus v24 as far as lockups? V21 is working fine at most schools and we do not have any need for new features of v24. Any comments would be appreciated.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks for the comments, we actually are going back to v21 HFSql server as it has worked well with our application. My wife does not trust v24 and she is the one that supports our schools. We will be vigilant and I will try to get her to try v24 first but we are not upgrading to WX24 development. We are close to "end of life" on our application and trying to retire as we are 70 and 7by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks, we will change to v24 servers or back to v22.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Have any of you had lock up problems with HF server running on windows servers? We have multiple school districts that have new windows servers (some virtual) that are running our WD 23 meals program. They run for a while and then it locks up. They have to restart the program to get it working again but there are no locks on the HF server. Any suggestions appreciated.by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Continuing the security discussions in topic "WebService question" : I wanted to install a WebService at my long time client. I already have port 4900 open for SCM use there so I asked to have port 80 and FTP port 21 opened. The network consultant for my client highly recommended not doing so for FTP which I can understand. So I asked for port 80 only. Here are his private commentsby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks for the suggestion Stefan, FYI for those interested, I found that three steps were required to move the http request to another port with Apache. First, change the Apache httpd.conf file "Listen" port. I changed it to 3999. Then add :3999 to the "ServerName" entry. Then save and restart Apache. Next you have to add :3999 to the Host Name/IP field in the Advancedby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Hi Guenter, Thanks for the clarification. After more discussion, his concern is more with the old router at the client's location, not the use of port 80 only. He is recommending a new router and VPN type connection so that only the employees can get through. Thnaks,by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
Thanks, Guenter. However, the technical guru for my client will not open port 80. Is there a way to send HTTP requests to a different port?by Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
I am trying to install a WebService on a client's computer. I have installed the 10 user WB 23 version and Apache 2.4. The WD Admin shows no errors but I don't get a response when I test externally. The tests on the server work ok.. Port 4900 is open as I use SCM through that port. Do I have to have port 80 open also? Or do I have to listen on 4900? I don't want to provide anyby Jeff Graham - WinDev Forum
