Hi Alex, Have a read of this - I've not tried it because I don't use M$ SQL, but it might help resolve your issue?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Jan, I've quickly put together a demo WD2024 project based on the existing M$ Office example and hacked the BTN_ExportPDF code to the following so that it uses the DocToPDF function instead of the OpenFilePicker: Click BTN_ExportPDF // Saves the name sDocName is string = gsNameOpenedDocument gsNameOpenedDocument = fExtractPath(gsNameOpenedDocument,fFileName) +".pdf"by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
It looks as though the answer is yes. The help system states: Training (WINDEV): WD Python [ - ] This example shows how to run Python code in WINDEV applications. Prerequisite: Python 3 must be installed on the computer. To get Python 3, go toby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Noel, Just asking "Has anyone used python" is a bit vague I haven't used Python with WX, but I would start by looking here: ...and have you taken a look at the "WD Python" example? According to the Help, you're going to need a minimum of WD27.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, It would seem that WX doesn't cater for GS1-Datamatrix barcodes; only the GS1-128 barcodes seem to be catered for ...at least I can't see anything. Is this for the identification of medical related products? Might be a good request for PCS to include it as one of their 999 new features in a future release?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Not specifically interfaced to Dymo - I've interfaced to generic USB thermal receipt printers, Zebra and Brother QL printers and found that the bigger brands often produce API's - Dymo has this on their UK site (and similar for other countries) - There tends to be a small learning curve and a small amount of trial and error, but nothing a man of your calibre couldn't masterby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, You don't make it clear what you have tried so far, if anything? As you probably know, Gradle isn't a PCS product, it's a (kind of) development framework, so the issue probably isn't directly attributable to WM. There are a few things I would try to begin with... 1) Have you taken a look at the log file? JVM crash log found: file:///D:/new/MobileProjectAndroid/Andby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hey Jon, I'm not at my dev machine so can't confirm, but try putting "- sales.DiscountAmount" outside the sum function brackets.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Just a thought, I wonder if there's something in the registry?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Is there something you're not telling us that prompted your question, like what DB are you using and have you already tried anything yourself? You would develop a PHP site in the same way as any other site; i.e. using WLanguage.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Yes sorry, I diligently checked and then forget to check applicable products on my final reply! You could probably do it in the cloud, but it won't be free. There's PDFCloud which is free but then they charge if you want to do API calls. It doesn't help but it's a pity you can't do something like PDFReaderOpen(PDF_MyPDFReader, MyPDFVariable) All I can suggby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Not used them myself (yet), but there are a whole host of PDF functions, but they work on PDF variable types. There's a PDFSave function for example, but it might mean you handle the PDF documents differently to how you are at the moment.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hey ISO, Sorry - I got excited and didn't read the whole response... was going to suggest using the background task functions and it won't let me delete the post. It seems non-sensical to limit the interval time to 15 minutes! There's this, but it only works with HFSQL C/S databases according to the help...by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Have you added any content to the control using HAddTask for example? Give us more info and we might be able to help...by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Kobus, Yes of course you can have multiple tables on a window no problem. My advice would be; use queries to populate the tables. Write a query to populate your Employees table and link it to the Employee table. Write another query to populate your WorkHistory table and make sure it has an input param which is the ID of the selected Employee row. In the "Selecting a row of ...&quby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, What do you mean by "copy files to another map"; are you referring to indexes? Database files are just files, so fcopyfile and fcopydir will copy database files, they just won't do anything fancy like create an index but if the .fic, .ndx and .mmo etc. files already exist in the directory you are copying then there shouldn't be a problem. You could use hindex afteby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Reg, I relocate projects using the Backup & Restore quite often. It basically just a matter of; Creating your new project folder, making a backup of the project using; Tools > Make a project backup, then restoring the project in the new location using; Tools > Restore a project. I don't think it's as simple as copying the project folder 'cos I think WX uses thby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Derek, I've just tried it for you... I'm not sure what combination of WX versions you have installed and how you are attempting to import your project as you don't go into much detail, but I too have the latest WX26 versions installed and for me it seems to work! I'll explain what I did just in case it differs from what you've tried so far: 1) Open WB26 and baby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Thanks for taking the time to respond - it's much appreciated Yeah, that's what I was afraid of - I was trying to avoid the pain of doing it all manually, especially as the notes in the online help are pretty vague I was hoping someone had been thru the pain already and had a magic answer for me!by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi all, Well, I'm trying to transfer a WM24 project from an old laptop to a new Windows 11 laptop. So I've installed WM24 and restored the project to the new laptop. I know that trying to generate the project for the first time brings up the "Generating the Android application" window and it gives the option to install the Android SDK, Gradle etc... so I clicked that optby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, It looks to me like something on the server has changed, have you tried contacting PCS about the performance issues? Also, you don't state if you attempted a reindex/repair?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Don't hold me to this, but I'm not aware of an automatic way of doing it Unless anyone knows anything different, it sounds like a bit of coding might be needed - try using an infinite progress bar and make it visible and invisible as required.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Frans, That's bit of an open question because it depends on a lot of variables (assuming you're in Client/Server mode on a server), things like; your server configuration, has anything happened or changed recently on your SCM server, how the people connected are using the SCM, do you use multiple "branches" etc... etc... ...if it suddenly started happening, it could bby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Have you tried using Google translate? It does a pretty good job nowadaysby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, I'm away from my Dev machine, but (apparently) you can convert it to dynamic using daynamictab property, then use TabOpen... and, this only works with WD.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Marcov, I second what Piet says - the template solution works really well for me :-) ...and it's not just the menu that templates are useful for - my templates have "standard" header and footers too! Plus if you're site is Responsive, you can set all the different layouts for different device types in your template as well:-) I'm currently developing a site thatby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi all, I think the subject says it all; I remember seeing that it's possible to send test emails from the free webdev-test hosting service provided by PCS - does anyone know how it's possible? Can it be done via SMTP? If so, what's the name of the SMTP server to use from webdev-test dot com? Using pretty standard code grabbed from the help page: // Start an SMTP sessioby DarrenF - WinDev Forum

No worries - Thought I'd mention it 'cos Loopers aren't the easiest of things to handle sometimes and didn't know if you'd got around to coding itby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
