Hi, Sorry, I can't answer your question directly, but have you seen this thread on StackOverflow?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Thanks Peter. Yes, I read that and it prompted my forum post; it's almost like I don't believe it's that simple What I'm looking for are people's "real world" issues, and not so much the shiney Official "here's what you should do - good luck!" kind of write-up.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Jim, Many thanks for taking the time to respond - 32 bit version it is then! Likewise, and I wish PCS were more "transparent" about a lot of things they have under their control.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi guys, I've always installed the 32 bit versions, but I'm looking to install WX24, and was wondering if there are any issues with functionality by installing the 64 bit versions as there seems to have been in the past?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
I've never used it, but this is from the current PCSoft website:by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Someone else may be able to help, but didn't PCSoft used to provide free "test" hosting?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter, It all depends on what you class as "low cost"? Oxford Support Systems here in the UK provide hosting for 69 euros or 99 euros per month. On the face of it, that probably seems expensive, but the 99 euros one includes the WebDev Application Server which you would normally be an additional expense if you were to do the hosting yourself.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, What have you tried so far? Have you tried something like this yet? MyImage is Image // Load from a file MyImage = dLoadImage("image.jp2") // Assign to an Image control IMG_ImageControl = MyImage Wherever I look for jpeg 2000, they say things like "as of 2018 hardly any cameras support this standard" ...or... "hardly any graphics packages support jpegby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Are they using your system to create and send the file? If so, then trim the space before the file is sent ...or... If the PONumber field is always in the format you mentioned, then you can trim the space once it's arrived. ... otherwise... You can do as JP mentionedby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Before you start changing your code, you don't say if the space always been there (in one form or another; ie. UTF-8 or otherwise), or if the sender has changed something at their end?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Don't you just love ready made functions that "try" to help....? Maybe send PCS a feature request?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hey ISO, It should default to include the headers, but have you tried to for them by including taColumnsTitles?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
I agree with Guenter, try not to let your customer dictate to you, but I know it's difficult sometimes. As far as the RFID hardware goes - I bought a cheap 13.56mhz usb reader, some RFID cards and some RFID tags as a package for less than £10 just to test the technology - it works well and the reader is just slightly larger than a credit card. Pretty much just plug-n-play and they are widby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Thanks Paulo - yes I remember all the fuss around this at the time and it being caused by IE of all things. I'll check the code, but I still can't explain why it has suddenly started to happen on a W7 PC that has been in use for years. I don't know if the issue was fixed by M$ and a recent Windows update has broken the fix. The user has had IE installed since the machine was purby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Paulo, Thanks for your response.... To be honest, I'm not at my dev PC at the moment but the code is so old, I'm pretty sure I didn't use FTPParameter at the time because there was no need to and all those years ago (circa v17/18) when the issue was circulating I remember using the mantra; "if it ain't broke, then don't fix it". Anyhow, I've speby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi all, I've been reading a post from a while ago discussing an FTP issue/error - the message is "Unable to modify directory to /." A customer has "all of a sudden" started getting this error message after using the FTP send window I developed several years ago. I've yet to find out what might have changed on their workstation/PC, but what are the current reasoby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Reading the various parts of the page, I can only assume it means backward compatibility to version 4 on the device an app is installed. I say "I can only assume" very deliberately because I have not tried and tested all the different combinations of WDM and SDK's to produce apps.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Aad, Use a query; if my report doesn't report all the items of a file, then I always use a query to filter the report results.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
I might be wrong, but I think the last version of a manual specifically for wLanguage was produced back in the V18 days. Even so, I would suspect they also produced a corresponding PDF which might be downloadable from the FTP site... possibly... maybe? I still have the hard-copy printed version of this manual - you never know when you might need a door wedging openby DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Vincent, First observation; why are you "hCheckDuplicates" in a SELECT? I'm not sure what effect that would have on your query as it's used for Add/Modify operations. Try using "hQueryDefault".by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Peter, More info is required I think. It's very easy to watermark things when printing, but I'm assuming your requirement is more complex than that?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Maybe direct from China is an option? I bought a 10" Windows 10, 2gb ram, 32gb tablet a year or so ago... The only downside is you might have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive. GearBest has an offer on this at the moment:by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Great stuff! What did you do in the end? ...you never know it might help other people on the forum in the future.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, There are a whole host of XML functions, but don't forget, there's also a specific XML variable type called XMLDocument: ...not to mention the various XML Unit examples that come with WX.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
In that case, you can either: 1) Inform them of the error of their ways and ask them to fix their XML ...or... 2) You'll have to tell them youy're making the assumption that the Text tag after the most recent </Ordered> end tag will be related to that previous section. I don't see what else you can do. Good luck!by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, Is this "real" XML or XML that you "invented"? The way you would normally recognise the text belonging to the count would be like this: <Ordered> <count>1</count> <Text tag="Extra Info: ">AAAAAAA</Text> <Text tag="Tekst: ">BBBBBBB</Text> </Ordered> <Ordered> <count>2</by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi Robin, If you install your application patches using the PCS method, then you can look at the EXE names as they'll have a 3 digit number in the filename which represents the patch number.by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
Hi, I agree with Fabrice, why SQLite? In any case, whenever I see WM and data corruption mentioned together, "UNICODE" springs to mind - maybe that's worth some investigation?by DarrenF - WinDev Forum
