Hi, we bought a used Apple Mac Mini 2012 for that purpose. We paid ~ 200,- Euro for it. I can't remember, but I think you need a more recent Mac Mini now.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, table columns can house a container. You can place buttons or any other controls into those containers.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, it says: fTrackDirectory (Function) Detects the modifications performed on the content of a directory. Only the modifications performed on the files found in the directory are detected. In case of modification, a specific procedure is run in a thread. Means, the procedure started by fTrackDirectory has to be run in a thread!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, from the Help: WLanguage procedure The WLanguage procedure is run in a WLanguage thread. Caution: The following processes cannot be run in the threads: opening windows with WLanguage functions such as Open, Use, Close, ... A specific management mode must be implemented if some windows must be handled in threads (rare case). For more details, see Managing the opening of a windowby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, I think, I did not understand the idea behind TablePosition(...)! The correct way to use it seems to be TablePosition(TABLE, TableSelect(TABLE), tavisible). Ok, best used without any options: TablePosition(TABLE, TableSelect(TABLE))by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi DW, thank you! I've been trying to use TablePosition(..) for the whole of today's morning. The problem: I can't see a consistent behaviour! This table control has 11 sortable columns. The first one is a numeric one and using TableSelect(TABLE,5,tavisible) it shows the selected row correctly within view but never where I thought it to be placed in the fifth position from the begiby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, after doing a TableSelectPlus(Table, Subscript) most times the selected row is shown as the first row in the Table control. That's correct but not beautiful or quite useful for users. If possible, I want to move the selected row a bit down, showing some of the rows before the selected row. How to do that?by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, as long as you are using HFSQL, an SQL injection seems to be impossible since the Manta Service is written in WINDEV's WLanguage. SQL Injection is possible mostly with C++ programs. Variables in most languages have a length and when filling more data into a variable than that, the excessive data is simply discarded. In C++ a variable is simply a memory address. Filling more data into a vby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, yes, the checkbox's gone from the place where ist should be! It should be in Project .. Description .. Advanced but isn't there. Another question to ask PC Soft ... same goes since ages for the missing checkbox "This is an MDI project". If you copy an old v25 project with "Did you know?" off then its off in v26. I could not test the AAF in the windows control theby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, I expect Windows 11 / ARM to be a functionally reduced edition - compared to Windows 11 / x86. They even did not tell us whether there will be a GUI for Windows 11 / ARM at all. Btw Windows 10 / ARM has no GUI! This is because users would experience a very slooow computer. On Android on Raspberry Pi 4 you can have local HFSQL databases and remote ones too. There is no functional loss coby gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi, what's the important API-difference between Windows 10 and Windows 11? Not so much. "Round Corners"? Really? We do have them since quite a few versions of WINDEV. So, any current desktop application (32-bit + 64-bit made using WINDEV 26) will run on Windows 11 as well as on Windows 10, Windows 7, even on Windows XP (mostly a 32-bit version). There will be a Windowsby gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi cabinetman, thank you, my problem was that the preview screen was perfectly to be seen, printing could be done without problems but after closing the print preview screen, the WINDEV 25 / 26 application freezed. Closing aof the app possible by task manager only. This application is in existence since WINDEV 5.5 and has been moved forward from version to version, has been renewed and refurbishby gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi all, the problem was that this was a project from version 24 and many previous versions. Obviously, it carries some junk over to v25 and this junk inhibits the print preview returning control to the program. It hangs. The not so simple solution is to make a new version 26 project and import all of the windows from v24, the global procedures and the project code from the v24 project. It wby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steve, no, this is a Canon ink printer, the printer is connected directly to the development computer! I tried too many hours now, sent a mail to PC Soft, no answer yet, of course. For the time being, the way around is using the built-in PDF-Reader control on a separate window. This takes some time, generating the PDF and opening the window afterwards ... however, it works. And that counts forby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steve, no changes. The same MDI-window works fine in version 24 but freezes after the Print Preview in version 25 and 26. A customer pointed to the problem in a v25 version of the program, I did not expect that anything changed when moving to v25 and therefore I did not thoroughly test the 200+ windows of the program. It never comes back from print preview: ... iEndPrinting() info(&quoby gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi Michael, no, in WD24 it just works fine. The same program in WD25 or WD26 freezes after the Print Preview. I stripped the window of all extraneous code and still, there's the freezing. The same code within a newly made window does not freeze! So, it seems to be something from old, old times deeply hidden in that window.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Derek, version 27 FRENCH is announced, but not version 27 ENGLISH. If you're buying a NEW product, you'll receive version 27 dongles for sure. If you're buying an upgrade from v22 to v27 - you will have to pay nearly as much as for a new produkt, you know. It's slightly cheaper than buying a new, it's 890,- instead of 990,-. However, there is no pricelist forby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, our project worked just fine in WINDEV 24 / version 077f as we found out, starting with WINDEV 25 and continuing in WINDEV 26, the program freezes after coming back from Print Preview. Nothing works, one has to remove the program using the Windows Task Manager! I tried to make a short demo version in WINDEV 26 for PC Soft support - unfortunately, that "demo" works just fineby gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi Arie, I'd recommend to try using the appropriate WINDEV functions. After conversion from 24 and 25 so many things did not work anymore. A few we could replace by code and a few still aren't working. We played a nice little thing with styles but after a wx upgrade it's out of order. We're hit hard by RAD11 which is still out of order. I'll see what we can do ... We aby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steven, the columns of all my table controls are always adjusted to 100%, means that all anchoring adds up to exactly 100%. I cannot believe that these values are lost - if so, please tell us! If you do not define table controls that way then you're at the hands of PC Soft's programmers. Table Controls in Wx are a permanent construction site and therefore subject to change.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Frans, any Edit Control with an activated RTF-checkbox is able to use your RTF-text, you don't need the Wordprocessor Control for RTF, it's already there. If you really want to convert RTF to .DOCX then use LibreOffice for a conversion. Or, there is even a small program doing exactly that onby gpredl - WinDev Forum
