Hi, is there a way to extend the text of the Parent Row over the other columns??by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, here's an example: www.syspredl.com/datafiles/USB_Drive.zipby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, of course, it can be done with WINDEV. Look for USB functions. No time now, but I'll post an example ...by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, imho you can only seek in one item of one dimension.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, currently, in WLanguage indices of arrays are 1 -> n, however, I'd find an option for 0 -> n much better. My ages-old BASIC compiler offers that option for declaration of arrays. I think, it would better solve the well-known problems with combo-boxes where a file-driven combo can show something like "Choose the customer!", but a combo based on programming always showsby gpredl - WX-Products: Suggestions & Feature Requests
Hello JP, we buy the certificate from A-Trust I know it is 360,- Euro per year See:by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi JP, signing of an app is required as soon as an app is published. Most OSes will balk at unsigned apps. You have to sign the .exe as well as the install-package (as well an exe). Signing of the compiled exe is regularily done by WINDEV. If you prepare the install-package by WINDEV as well then signing is done by WINDEV too. Bad: you have to translate/localize WDSETUP We make the install pacby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, probably you did not sign your application. Windows 10 is very touchy in that respect - even with signed applications! "This application is downloaded very seldom, are you sure ...?" Not a good introduction for new users. "Seldom" is about 1000 downloads in M$'s view!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Aad, the function HFilter(...) should return a string which tells you the index which has been used by WINDEV if you let WINDEV choose the key to be used for executing the filer operation. Like MyString = HFilter(...). After a successful filtering the variable MyString should contain the index which had been used for the filter operation. If MyString is empty then something did not work.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Aad, I've never seen such a result without being able to explain it. I'm sure, we can find the culprit. What's the type of the file item? What's the resulting character string? Could you give us the exact WLanguage text of the HFilter(...) instruction line? strReturnValue = HFilter(...)by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi pauly, the more stable environment for HFSQL C/S is Linux. I recommend to use CentOS. But beware, using CentOS needs solid Linux knowledge, it has no graphic user interface! One thing more: look for a provider who offers "Remote Reset"! We pay 5 Euro / month for that feature but it's worth much more. Calling the provider's service on Saturdays or Sundays or during the niby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Sivakrith, most people don't know that the identifier of a memory stick is unique! Therefore, you could use your pen drive like a dongle! Usually, the stick's serial number is to be read only from the same computer. You could write the stick's serial# into the program's exe file and compare from there or you could write the serial# into an encrypted file and store on theby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, you can restrict access to the database files by HMode(..) Example HMode("*", HModeMono) // restriction to a single computer accessing all files of the database. HMode("*", HModeMulti) // Multi-Userby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, why? You can show the total number of items in any Table control - without any formula.by gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi, yes, since v25 I'm doing the Alt-S and Strg-S several times before closing a project - in order to save the thing properly. Too often the last code changes to a project disappeared. I'm relatively sure that this mis-behaviour will stay with us at least for the next versions - so, better make it a habit.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Ola, the secret is: just re-compile the project!by gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi, in WD24 there's no AJAX mode ... must be WB24, isn't it?by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, 1) I put the ASCII-file into a string by fLoadText(..) This sped up the process a little but not much. 2) I checked two items for being in the system by HReadSeekFirst(...) I did not need the data itself and converted to HSeekFirst(...) and this did the big difference! Now the import-process is fast enough! Thank you for your help!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Michael, 1) the kudos for doing and posting the translation go to "the unknown but glorious translator of the world wide web" !! I did not do it! 2) I believe, I already have a bad reputation in the south of France, so, I do not comment.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, thank you! Imho, it's illegal, but I'll ask PC Soft on Monday for their consent. After all, it's an easy way for the English speaking community to read the new features of WX 26. The French PDF is distributable. However, they could complain about the "bad quality" and ask for immediate deletion. Which I'll do. Hopefully all of you have copied the 47 images toby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hello Heinz, hello Argus, thanks a lot for your suggestions!! I'll look into the code to optimize the loop! Yes, there are a lot of ExtractString(...) operations within the loop! Maybe, I can read the csv-records in a different way .... I'll tell here about the results!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, in part of a program I'm adding thousands of records from a .csv file. It's slow. Using HWrite(File, Record#) in total time makes nearly no difference to HAdd(File). It's an SSD drive and there's plenty of cache for the drive. It takes about 1,5 hours to add 10.000 records on my computer which has a Xeaon processor. Our customers will have no Xeons, they will have i5s aby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, I'd search in PlayStore for an OCR app first.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Michael, there's no problem to use e.g. Ashampoo 11's OCR which puts the recovered text into the clipboard and then you have to put it by Ctrl-V into DeepL for translation into English or German. The real problem: even the translation is copyrighted byPC Soft! So, one has to a) translate and b) put the text into other words. However, I can do that for a couple of the new features .by gpredl - WinDev Forum
