Will they be solved?? Also, I have a 2025 dongle that did not require a subscription. At the beginning of that cycle at least you were given the option, dongle, or subscription.And, regarding selling dongles, as I understand it the EU forbids blocking resale of software, and since the dongle is essential for the software to work, not sure how that works under EU law?

One problem, 50% of your code has to be Wx, otherwise you have a license violation and (in the past) had to pay the full cost of a Windev license to access HFSQL from foreign computer languages.

For 2026 there is no dongle version, only subscription. However, if you have an active subscription, you will not be forced into the runtime fees until your subscription ends. The companies that are somewhat safe for the moment are the few that bought a 3 yr subscription last year. At least they have 2 comfortable years to transition before the hammer falls. I just got a quote from PCSoft. They say confidential, but under US law, I believe it takes two parties to agree to a confidentiality agreement. I never agreed to anything. And, I have no current contractual agreement with PCSoft. Nevertheless, I will speak in general terms. As I said before, it really doesn't matter to me. I really hate predatory companies like this. I liked working with Windev and I was willing to pay every couple of years for what is essentially a hobby. Occasionally I would write a small app for someone. For me, this all is not a big deal. I just feel sorry for those who have large installations and are being F*d by this company.
