It turns out that it only effects some very old tables in my analysis. These are from the days back in WD9. I removed them from the analysis and created them from scratch. Problem gone.by ArieM - WinDev Forum
I did some more testing and when I use Datetime instead of Datetime2 the errors are gone. So maybe I should rephrase my question: Fr those who are using the native MSSQL drive, of which type are your fields in MSSQL for the following Windev types, Date Time Datetimeby ArieM - WinDev Forum
Uh by bad. Llittle typo in the post, should be a +sign indeed.by ArieM - WinDev Forum
Hi all, I'm in the middle of converting a large application from HFSQL to MSSQL. Works fine on most parts and the overall performance is at least 25% faster now. I'm using the native driver. But datetime fields can be a pain in the… From the analysis pane, Windev creates sql scripts to create tables and alle datetime fields are defined as DateTime2(3), which seems to be correcby ArieM - WinDev Forum
Then it's getting more difficult I'm afraid. I had one situation where the Android versoin on the tablet was too old (4.0 where I had set 4.4. as the minimum somewhere in the APK-generation wizard) Maybe you can use the Android log (logcat) to get more details about this error. Google for ADB and Logcat, I don't have a step by step instruction for thatby ArieM - WinDev Forum
infos The GROUP BY is automaticaly added when you use MAX, COUNT, SUM on 'other' fields, Open your query, go to the queyr description popup (double click), select a field and then on the right pick an action like MAX,MIN.by ArieM - WinDev Forum
No problem here. Can you copy/paste the error?by ArieM - WinDev Forum
I'm sorry there's a little typo. Originally it's a French piece of code I found somewhere. I used it that way but translated it for this forum without testing first . Should be this import java.io.File; import android.content.Intent; import android.net.Uri; import android.content.Context; public static void APkInstall(String sAPK){ Intent i = new Intent(); i.setby ArieM - WinDev Forum
FYI ShellExecute seems to start the installation proces as a child-proces of your current app. Which causes some kind of confflict. It does install the update, but afterwards there is no option to start the app. As we know from a fresh/new install. I also tries ExeRun wirth no luck, does not start the installation in the first place. But the below piece of code seems to do the trick. Inby ArieM - WinDev Forum
Wilaroth, I basicly do the same as you and it works on Android 5 and higher, including Android 8. - WM23 - Android SDK 25 - I added both INSTALL_PACKAGES and REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES to the APK generation script (using the wizard in WM) - I download the file and save it in fCurrentDir() + ["/"] + ProjectInfo(piConfiguration) - And finally do a ShellExecute with that file Note:by ArieM - WinDev Forum

I'm afraid I don't know anything about Linux, but it is fully supported by the Webdev.by ArieM - WinDev Forum
You can also use webdev to create webservices. I'm afraid there is no easy way to get it up and running. You need a server 'somewhere'. Open port on router/firewall to be accessible from the outside. Need a fixed IP or URL. etc. etc. What kind of app are we talking about btw? if it's a dedicated app for a few known users, you can also send an email from your app usingby ArieM - WinDev Forum
Well your app get's a token from either Apple or Google when registering for notifications (NotifPushEnable()) and NotifPushSend() uses (requires!) these tokens. So you also need some mechanism to get the token from every device on the server side. There are several ways to do so: 1.webservice (you mentioned that one I guess??) You don't need Webdev to build the webservice, you cby ArieM - WinDev Forum
There is an example called "WD Send Push" and afaik it's a Windows application which does exactly what you want. It uses the NotifPushSend() function and that's the one you need.by ArieM - WinDev Forum
Yes SysEnvironment() seems to be better. Try using a blank single homepage (AWP) and put this in de opening section to jump directly to a second page SWITCH SysEnvironment("HTTP_REFERER") CASE "url1" PageDisplay(page1) CASE "url1" PageDisplay(page1) OTHER CASE PageDisplay(page_no_access) ENDby ArieM - WinDev Forum
Hi Aad, I think you need URL-rewrite to do that at a stage before webdev comes in. I also see PageAdress() in the help. Maybe you can use that too redirect from a single Webdev-start-page to the required customers page.by ArieM - WinDev Forum
Hi, I'm building my first REST webservice to support a mobile app on Android. It's in fact build on the WM_Messenger example found in LST113, which is basicly a complete, although simple, messaging app like Whatsapp. I wonder how to implement a versioning system. At some point I come up with new features and so on and then I need version 2 of my webservice. How is that done? Afby ArieM - WinDev Forum
Infos I use that all the time and works as expected, hfsql and mssql as well. There must be wrong something else. How do you pass the dates to the query? You should use the format YYYMMDDby ArieM - WinDev Forum

Hi, we are in the middle of moving our application and MSSQL database to azure. Everything is running fine in the current environment, dedicated 2012 server with mssql 2012. I copied the application (WD23) to a Win2019 instance in Azure. It is still connecting to our current databaseserver (not Azure). Normally dates are formatted like 20191031 when looking at the record buffer after readiby ArieM - WinDev Forum
Anthony, do you use a transaction? If not every single HAdd() is wrapped in a transaction by the Windev framework. That's very slow indeed. Using ONE transaction will speed things up. BTW: in my case it was still way too slow. I ended up generating the sqlite database on the server (still using tthe transaction as described) and download that one as a whole. That's much faster, buby ArieM - WinDev Forum

What version of WD are you talking about? If I remember correctly I could not get it to work with V21 either, but no problems in V22 and beyond (could also be V23, my memory is not that good…)by ArieM - WinDev Forum
HI, I'm trying to use a piece of jave code in my Android app. But it gives me a compilation error on "List<ResolveInfo>" This happens after including the following import import android.util.List; Can't get rid of it, can someone shine a light? We also store images inside the database. Works like a charm. In one project we already have over 1 million photos, coming from field service workers using a tablet. MMO file is over 150GB. In all those years I had 1 or 2 issues with a corrupt image. But it turns out just the particular image was broken. It did not have an effect on the remaining part of the MMO file.
