Hi Peter, Thanks for that idea Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, Yes, I could check the directory before running the report, although it wouldn't absolutely guarantee that the folder would still be available moments later when the report itself tried to run. I'm interested in the fact that the printing window can be suppressed though in any case, could you please point me in the right direction as to hwo to experiment with that? Cheersby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, I like the idea, but for certain reports I really need the user and my application to know the report has successfully completed before progressing. Thanks for the idea though ,for some longer running reports I will use that approach. Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum

Hi, WD22. The reports in my application are written out to PDF files in a specified folder. This all works fine normally, but if for some reason the intended folder is not available (due to network security etc) then the report simply stops. Not a problem in itself because I check for the PDF file's existence in my application, but the pop up "Printing ..." window does not clby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum

Hi, JPG in this case, but I'm using WD22. Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, Tried that to no avail, but I have found out that NOT doing a FileToScreen after updating the record solves it. Curious. Thanks for your response. Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, I have an image control on a window, with a bit of code behind it to allow a different image file to be selected. Having selected the file the new image is shown in the control, but when I save to the database (screentofile) the image control shows as empty. It's not, because if I come out of the window and back in the new image is shown, so I can't understand why the image contrby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Thanks for the advice Paulo / Arie, Both perfectly fine answers but not quite suitable in my system, probably due to poor design on my part (I write the system around 10 years ago while I was learning Windev from the book)! I've sorted it for my immediate need via the Displaying A Row event in a table. Many thanks Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, It's a value I would find useful in various places within my application, including away from tables. And were I to have a table showing 1 row for each sales order header I would still need a calculated column containing a formula to show a count of that specific order's number of lines wouldn't I? Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, I want to add a formula item to a data file, specifically in this case I want to add a field to a sales order header file called NumberOfLines and then have that automatically calculated as the number of records on the sales order line table with a matching Sales Order Number. Simple query using the COUNT SQL syntax, but the editor rejects it and I'm wondering if this is a limitatiby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, Is anyone using Oauth2.0 authentication with Google's Gmail service, specifically to send email messages? Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi Ola, I'm using Windev22 so there may be alternative ways of doing this now, but here's the code I ended up using which works for me. My main objective was to allow my users to specify formatted email signatures within my application and then to automatically incorporate them into all email messages sent from my application. //set up email session variable MySession.ServerAby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
So folder rather than map I guess. Thanks Aadby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, In your example what does the variable HTMLMap contain - the patch to the folder containing the actual image file? Thanks Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi Arie, Thanks for that, I will look into it. Kind Regards Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi Al I've had a play with this idea and it works really well, thanks very much for your helpby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, I have a sporadic error that happens maybe once every 2-3 days. Try as I may to get a good description of what the user was doing I just cannot replicate the problem. I've tried turning on the server logs, and although that gives me good information about database activity it does not tell me what a user typed of what buttons they pressed. Is anyone aware of an method I could use to lby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi all, I have an application which contains a function to move a folder (possibly with several sub folders in it and various file types). Here's the code... Hi, I need to put a feature into my system so that when a certain user logs in for the first time they must view my terms & conditions and then tick a box to say they've agreed them. I seem to remember an example showing this but I can't find it, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, Does anyone know how to install just the CC Control Centre program without having to install an HFCS server at the same time? Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Yes, that's great Mike, thanks very muchby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi Mike, Thanks for replying. Can I ask what server/Comms structure you used, e.g. server per site, cloud hosting etc? And did you have much trouble making the till functions perform fast enough? Kind Regards Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
That's a great help Paulo, thanks very much. All the best Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
Hi, Has anyone ever used WD to control a cash till / develop an EPOS-type application? If so I'd be interested to get any tips you may have to offer? Or alternatively, has anyone tried but had to give up? Cheers Regby norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
WD22 Hi, although I'm building an email variable with two attached files on it when the email arrives only the second file is there? I'm sending via the SMTP construct. The code to add the attachments is StringToArray(gsemref:sEM_Attachment,arrAttach,";") i is int = 1 FOR EACH sAttfile OF arrAttach IF sAttfile = "" THEN CONTINUE MyMessage.Attach.Name =by norfolk-reg - WinDev Forum
