Solved - by shear accident after increasing the size of my bald spot. Man - if they could just beef up the help files. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All Battling with the Back Button Message. The page opens with a table that is filled. Nothing changes on the page. Button with code with TableToExcel is executed. Press Close button which goes back to a previous page and all is fine. But if I place FileDisplay after the TableToExcel the file opens alright - close excel and then press the Close button which goes back to a previouby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
The JS they use does not work on iOS - we have seen that with our own WB sites - we have used workaround code for it. We put it down to the iOS rendering engine. No matter what browser you use on iOS their engine in the end performs the magic. That much I have learnt. It is similar to their PDF engine. Just my experience. Hi All I need a way to trap for the shift-tab and tab keys on a page and stop the focus from leaving the page. For example, stop it from going to the url entry field in the browser. I hope that make sense. Any ideas? Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All We are getting some users with slow internet connections getting a timeout message. Is there anyway to increase how long the client will wait for any given task or request? I see that there is a maximum task duration but I do not know what that is. Any ideas - I need the client to wait longer before it gets the timeout or the WAS to wait longer before it sends a timeout. Cheersby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi I have seen this as well. Some Android versions on phones will set some apps to sleep so as to save battery - you can switch this off for some apps. I still have the problem of not registering at all - I get nothing returned when registering the phone in the first place. Still investigating. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
I have exactly the same problem on some Android phones - I see no one responded here. Did you ever get this resolved?by André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Argus Thanks a ton - could not find an example anywhere. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All Looked at the docs but nothing makes sense to me there. I need to use WHEN EXCEPTION IN to supress errors and display my own error message at multiple points in various apps. I want to catch xml deserialization failing when a packet from a SOAP server is problematic. At the moment the app crashes with wrong deserialization format. Any ideas? Hi All I am needing to use the document.getElementById function in javascript. For this I need to pass the name of the object. I can get the alias in WB by pressing Shift + F11. The looper alias is A1 and the edit field in the looper is A2. What would the javascript name be for each row in the looper? What do I pass to getelementbyid? Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Stefan That is true - the internet of things. A huge problem for security. Heart pacemaker has an IP address - easy to commit murder via the internet - hack it and stop the pacemaker. The list goes on and on and on... Not good. Not good. All social media is equally bad. We are living in ominous times. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Stefan Thanks for sharing. I can see great opportunities for criminals with the ability to access functions in a motor vehicle. When it goes pear shaped it is really going to go pear shaped. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Thanks a ton Peter - never worked with CSS resources. This opens up a whole new world for manipulating the interface. Andreby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All How do I change the Cell Border in a Looper at runtime? Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi ISO Max 200 here - but it depends on what you mean by concurrent. Do you mean that they are all on permanently at the same time? Remember that the whole web thing is stateless, meaning that there is no permanent connection and only sessions are kept open. Does that make sense? Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All I am wanting to integrate with a spreadsheet type grid control using angular or whatever. I have located dozens of these offerings but have no idea how to use any of these with WebDev. If you do know how to do this or have done so please contact me privately. We are happy to pay for any work on this so that we can get a prototype/proof of concept up and running. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Thanks Guenter - got it. Am hoping that WebDev supports some sort of grid control for data entry similar to a spreadsheet. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All Where can I get a downloadable version of the WX25 brochure? The French one is fine. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All I had no idea this nonsense was on the go. What a great pity. I have benefited enormously from the help that Fabrice has provided. What a shame. I hope he reconsiders and gets back in here to help. As for Clarion, well, having used it as the primary tool for our desktop apps for about 24 years or so and continue to partly use it for them I have to agree with you Art, when you wriby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum

Hi Infos Thanks for chipping in. You wrote: "I think there must be an active automatic update of the application on the phone and the same on the server." What do you mean by an "active automatic update"? Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi All Would be nice to know from someone who has got this right what you have done with respect to: 1. The version of WX you are using 2. The permission entries in the manifest with respect to storage you have included 3. The exact spot where you are saving the apk before shellexecute Still hoping. Hi Peter Tried fExeDir - get the parsing error again. Cheers Andreby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Pete Just checked and it is in the directory the app is in which I assume is the fCurrentDir - apparently not - is there a function to return the directory that the app is in? Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Pete Nope - only a subdirectory which is when I get the parsing error. I will try that now. Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Jan Read more about this. Where the file is stored is clearly important. I am saving it in internal storage public using SysDirExternalStorage function. The file exists after download. When the app that downloaded it does the shellexecute it launches and then says App Not Installed - that's it. I can install it manually by selecting it. This has something to do with either the paby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Jan I am not getting this right. What version of WX are you using? I am getting the error with shellexecute - There was a problem parsing the package. It looks to be a permissions issue - very disappointing this. Hopefully we can chat tomorrow again. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter Looks like Android 8 and above may block shellexecute of apk files - added the request user permission node and giving it another bash. Just worried that I am not saving this into the correct folder that will allow a shellexecute of an apk. Cheers Andréby André Labuschagné - WinDev Forum
