I feel obliged to point out however that this is not what views were intended for and were depricated in V20 (only kept for 'backward coby DerekT - WinDev Forum
Drop a text box onto your docx in the required position. Copy/paste content of your RTF control into the box. Save as a docx, all rtf formatting is preserved - I'm using v26by DerekT - WinDev Forum
Al Not sure that I can really be of assistance to you. My setup is an 'all singing, all dancing' Dell Inspiron laptop connected to (only) two Dell 27" monitors using their USB-C technology implimentation with all 3 displays are controlled via the inbuilt NVidia graphics. Also now, being pretty much retired, I have only upgraded Windev to version 26. This I have updated to the lby DerekT - WinDev Forum
Hi Al I have the same effect as you, running Widows10. By default WD opens full screen with no option to drag to a smaller size. However I use a dual screen display and found if I dragged the window toward screen 2 then I was able to reduce the size. When next opened window was full size again but just by moving the window it 'remebered' the previously size and reduced itself accordby DerekT - WinDev Forum
Confirmed by PCS Tech Support Only operational if all dongles are 64bit.by DerekT - WinDev Forum
Michael I haven't got any code to hand but the simplest method I have found is to Serialize() each array as JSON and then use StringCompare() on the results.by DerekT - WinDev Forum
Hi Al Seems you are correct, the Looper control in WD24 is broken, only the 'Fill by Programming' is available for selection. I have not yet imported an existing app - I'll try a bit later with one that has loopers filled from variables and report back. The Image Gallery preset is a selection from the creation menu. However do need need to use the ribbon menu as the additioby DerekT - WinDev Forum
Its different screen resolutions. I have the same on my development setup.... Laptop 2048x1152, Monitor(s) 2560x1080 - Monitor appears larger when displaying the app. There are apparently dpi settings that can be adjusted but I have always been advised to steer well clear as unexpected results may occur. Long gone are the days when everyone had a 17" VGA monitor.by DerekT - WinDev Forum
Hi Al I'd not noticed the change to highlighting. Have to agree - pointless and unnecessary It is quite difficult, especially in large code blocks, to home in on the usage of a given variable. Just spent (some may say wasted) an hour playing with Token control - pretty underwhelmed tbh. On the plus side all of the 'by progamming' functions do work so you could display sayby DerekT - WinDev Forum
Hi Steven Thanks for the info, 64bit is no doubt my problem. Unfortunately my 3 dongles are 32bit only, all have stickers referring to version 9 which I guess is when the change to USB dongles occurred. Obviously I have been around for too long. PCS charge, I believe, 59 euro (inc postage) per dongle for exchange to the later 32/64bit version. Adding to that my cost to return the old itemsby DerekT - WinDev Forum
In the 'New features of WinDev' help: See Also... •WINDEV 24, Brochure of new features: Common new features: the above is described together with an image showing the choices I should expect. I have the latest release of WD, WB and WM installed and all dongles, updated to v24, attached and active on my machine. However if in WinDev I select create a new project the options I get doby DerekT - WinDev Forum
Try Deserialize() instead of JSONtoVariant() These appear to do the same operation but I have found sometime one is better than the other.by DerekT - WinDev Forum
Michael Yes, users can be a pain. Best approach IMHO is to follow Piets suggestion and build an SQL text query. With this approach you build your WHERE clause beforehand dependant on user selections then insert the appropriate AND or OR conditions by substitution using Stringbuild(). MyCond is string if 'userselected = something' THEN MyCond = "AND" ELSE MyCond = &quoby DerekT - WinDev Forum
Michael I will start by saying I am not an SQL guru but in similar circumstances I have found that I needed to test for each value separately in the WHERE clause... WHERE myvalue LIKE '4%' AND myvalue LIKE '2%' AND myvalue LIKE '7%' This should return records that contains the values 2,4 & 7 - The search will not be, however in any specific order so 2,4,7by DerekT - WinDev Forum
Have a look on the WinDev- US fb site. I think you will find a unit where this was tested early on. Couple of errors if I recall but seemed to work. Guess it will depend on the complexity of your WD app.by DerekT - WinDev Forum
cabinetman Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Sure is this available for development purpose or > do you have to purchase to test it? > DW There did used to be one back in the day. As I recall it jumbled up the text in the results sets returned by queries. Not sure if it is still available - Maybe a quick email to PCS is called for.by DerekT - WinDev Forum
No need for the additions at the end, Stringbuild accept all 'String' functions. STC_Detail = StringBuild("%1 : %2 (%3)%4OK", COMBO_CustomerCode,EDT_Customer,EDT_Mobile,CR)by DerekT - WinDev Forum
Develop your service app as a normal WD project. It should contain only the functions, procedures and data access necessary to enable it to carry out its required purpose. It will not have any windows or user interface. Generate it as a exe as normal and call this from a command line in the scheduled task. I have, as a simple example, one running 24/7 monitoring a folder which receives payby DerekT - WinDev Forum
