Hi, You could use a SQL query like this: SELECT country, COUNT(*) AS record_count FROM your_table_name GROUP BY country;by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi All I'm looking to upgrade from WX22 to WX27, and wondered what comments and experiences people have with WX27? I mainly write Android apps, but will be making Windows and web apps in the future. I've read some negative things about WX27 IDE being slow, and wondered if that is the case across all platforms? Thanks for any advice Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi All, I have two Android apps in WM22 that I need to transfer a small text file between. Previously I created a folder in the main Android memory area and it was easy. I also used Clipboard(). Now it seems that isn't going to be possible with Android 11. What is the best way to achieve this? Thanks Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Thanks I'll try thatby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi, Thanks for the nod Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi All, I'm still getting this problem on a Sony Xperia running Android 9. I uninstall the app, run a cleaner and restart, then when I install a fresh version (which includes data) the new version is installed but the old data (from the uninstalled version) reappears and the new data is not installed along with the app. Is the data still there after uninstalling? Seems to be OK on Aby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
RobertLeo, I have to say it took me a long time to understand anchoring, but it does work on complicated layouts over different resolution devices. I too work on the smallest generic phone screen, and the layouts looks find on both Samsung Note 9 and Sony tablet. What is going wrong with the layout? Best Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi Infos and Argus, Maybe Info show your code first? Then maybe Argus could point out any code that need to be changed? It would be great to get some working code to do this! Cheers Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi, You need to look at anchors to get the layout to fit different screen sizes. Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi, No, I couldn't find a fix. In the end I did a workaround by hiding the action bar and using statics and buttons instead.by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi In WM22 I use SysIdentifier(), works on Android 10. Hope that still works for 23. Cheers Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi All, Using WM 22 - in Android 10 the Action Bar font is black (not white as it should be) and the logo (which doesn't show at all pre 10) is about 1/3 of the way across the screen. This is using a Samsung Note 9. Has anyone else had this effect? Thanks Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Height=TextHeight(.. is the answer.by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi all, I have a mobile window with a photo and caption and then another photo and caption underneath. The captions can vary in size, and I want to be able to adjust the height of the static(s) to show the text without blank space afterwards, and have the photo or element show just below the static . How do I expand the static to show all of the text, and keep the element below close?by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi, Yes, that did help - thanks ever so much! I swapped for statics and added the invisible button, and it now works on both 6 and 9! Thanks again for the tip. Peterby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
I've now found that both looper selection bars show on Android 6, but only one works on Android 9...by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi, I use ATT attributes to return the GUID once selected. I need to have the selection bar/background visible because it is to move the rows up and down. Thanksby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi All, I have a looper which won't let me select a row, the first row is selected and nothing happens when I tap another row. I have another looper which allows selection, and I can't work out the difference between the two. Can anyone please suggest which setting I need to change? Thanks very much Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Thanks Anthony Yes, I tried to follow and grab the last position, but it wouldn't work for me Cheers Peterby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hello, I am testing on a Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact running Android 9. I'd read somewhere that later versions of Android are more restrictive with following movement, maybe there is a setting somewhere I need to change. The GPSGetPosition() function is working, it just takes a couple of seconds looking at the hourglass, which I want to avoid. Cheers Peterby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hello, Did you get GPSFollowMovement to work on Android in the end? I have also tried the GPS example on Android, when the position is shown on app opening but does not get updated. This is testing with Android 9. I want to be able to get a gps reading without a pause and hourglass. Thanks for any advice. Peterby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum

Roberto The 3 database files you downloaded from the server are data, memo and index files; just add them all during generation and install. Peterby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi All, After uninstalling and re-installing a new version I find that one data file (at least) is not being deleted. Where are the data files (HF) stored and how can I completely remove them? Thanks Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi Al, Does this mean we need to upgrade to 24 or we can't update apps on Playstore? Thanks Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi André, Have you tried saving the apk to the directory the app is in? Cheers Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Also, which versions of Android has it been tested on?by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
I think he meant to type 'if want to install...'by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
OK it works. For some reason it would not work on one app but the exact same code was happy to work on another.by Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
Hi, Is anyone successfully using WM22 and httpSendForm for Android 9? I have got https and have edited the manifest to add android:usesCleartextTraffic=true but still getting errors Any more pointers would be really useful! Peteby Peter Muckle - WinDev Forum
