Remember Editor positions

Hello everyone,

Is there a way for WinDev to remember where each Code/Window/Report Editor window was last when it opens it?

I have dual 24 inch LCDs and the left one contains only the main WinDev MDI window. Whenever I open an editor window I have to resize and reposition it because it always comes up centered in the parent window and not where I last had it positioned.

Thanks,

David

In the description of your windows, in the GUI tab, you should try to check
the box in front of 'Remember size and position' (or something alike - I am
using the french version-). This will solve your problem ...

Thanks for the reply.

If you mean the "Stores the size and position of the window" option, it is checked. But, this is for when the window is run from within the application.

I mean for when the Code Editor is open within the development environment.

Hello David,

A month ago I send an email to PC-Soft:

================
Hello,
I am using Windev since version 5.5 and especially with wide-screens there
is the problem that during editing the code (Via F2) and resizing the
window the size isn't remembered.
With wide-screens the size of the code-editor is so wide that it overlaps
other code or windows even when the code is very smal.
It is really a handicap. Just a simple 'store the size off the window' (as
in the GUI tab; but then for the code window) would do the job.

Regards Frans

So... Windev 15???
I think it must be possible to give a next update in W14.
It is really frustating to resize and position the editor windows.
When all of us reply to this message then PC-Soft would see that it is needful

Thanks Frans. At least I know I haven't missed a setting somewhere.

I agree the size a code window opens up on a wide screen monitor is TERRIBLE.

Probably should mention that any Code Editor windows that are open in a Project when I quit WinDev ( 12 or 14 ) are reopened AT THE SAME POSITION as when I quit.

But, if I close that window it comes back to the default position when opened.
