Changing the file structure dynamically

Hi,

I have an older version of application running on my server and using Hyperfile client/server database. Now, I want to install a newer version which has a different analysis (I added a new item in one of the tables).
I'd like to preserve an existing database, because it's already filled with data. Is there a way to change a file structure dynamically?

Can you tell me how did you solve this for CS? As I wrote in my previous post, I can't get it to work in HFCS.
