AJAX tree view control in WebDev?

I have a concept in my head, can't really grasp how to do it.

The intended use is Forum software. There will be a single file, with field/column names like ForumNumber, MsgID, ReplyToMsgID, ect.

What I would like is to put messages into a treeview, which would act much like NNTP client works, with new posts as the parent in the forum, replies as children under the parent, in a collapsable tree.

To top it off, I wanted to use AJAX, so when the node is expanded / collapsed only the table is redisplayed and the page is not redrawn.

Having a tough time visualizing how to do this. Any ideas from the crowd?

Thanks, Art

Hello Art...

I'm not really sure what the question is... You could use the webdev
treeview control, and in the browser clic code call functions using ajax
to display the corresponding element...

If you have a more precise question, please let me know

Best regards
