OT-backing up the SAM-database.

Hi all,

I realize this has nothing to with WD/WB etc, but i'll give it a go. I'm running my Windev app. on a XP teminal server (XP Unlimited). I have about 30 different users on that machine and they created their own passwords. In case of failure of my server, I loose all the users and their passwords.

Does anybody has any idea, how to backup the SAM-database and in case of trouble, put this backup back again.

Hi Aad

I think if you use standard XP backup and select 'System State' as the item you want, it should back up the registry and the sam database.

This can obviously be scheduled and restored when needed.
