I have created my stand alone deployment routine to test my dynamic site on one of our servers. When I try to run the installation routine I get the following....


An error occurred while accessing the database of WebDev Accountrs.
The setup can be continued but the site will be associated with no WebDev Account.
The error returned is: the directory of WebDev accounts is not declared properly in the registry.
WinDev Deployment version not installed properly.


This is my first deployment so I am taking a stab in the dark with the whole process, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Glenn...


On the webserver, you need to install first WebDev Deployment server (the engine that will execute your web site)... The error message seems to indicate that it was not installed (or at least not installed properly) There are 2 versions:
- Test=Free version, limited to 10 simultaneous connections
- The real thing that yo have to buy (around 300ยค per server)
