Import tables into Analysis

Regards to all !

I have my old project which uses DBF's.
I import these files with Drag-Drop and all files are imported.
Some fileds are not recognized correctly.
Ex. Numeric field without decimal places is recognized like Currency

My question is:
When I import one Table with ex. company_ID field and change this field from string
to numeric, second imported table with same field is not changed.

How to change other imported tables fields into one which I'm changed.
There is much similar fields intot other tables 'couse of relations and all fields now need to be manualy changed. Is there any automatic option.

Hi
Did you generate the analysis before making the field change?

If you do then I believe WD will offer to change all other fields with the same name.
Just a WAG, worth a shot

First thank you for your answer, but,

Like I say. I'm import ex. table "Articles" with field: ARTIKLI_ID (Character type into DBF)
Than I'm change table structure for using with WinDev. (ARTIKLI_ID is now Numeric field)
Option: Generate Analysis is performed after that.

After that I import another table "Groups" with same field ARTIKLI_ID (Also character)
But Windev import this table and ARTIKLI_ID stay character.
When I create new fields WinDev offer to take field information from existing field, but
in this way, field stay "character type" and on is not converted into numeric.
If I delete this field and insert again WinDev offer solution, but if imported table is
with data than this option is not useful to me.

What you think ?

After few testing. Only solution is to import files together.
So, Import all DBF's from old project and than make changes in table structure.

Only than WinDev ask you for confirm changes into other files.

Edited: Maybe, we need to sned to PC-Soft this situation for implement one option
Like: Right Click on the Field and Choose "Sinchronize with this field into Analysis"

My error.
I had assumed that you had imported all of the tables.

If you import one at a time then WD is going to accept the definitions in the external file.
The alternative would be to ask the question for each possible change on every imported file.
Not a very user friendly option.

Yes, I agree with you.
I think there is better solution.

1. On right click on field can be option "Synchronize with this field"
and than WinDev offer all fields with same name for update .

2. On Import , WinDev can offer to automatically update imported fields with existing
without every single question.

3. etc

But this is not question for us but for PC-SOFT.
This can be situation for all imported databases, not just for DBF.
