Run WLanguage code within the IDE
November 18, 2008 01:02PM
Hi Guys.

Anyone know if it is possible to run a program within the IDE, and perform actions on the project objects?

e.g.
enumerate all th controls on a form and apply tab settings,
create a custom PEM sheet etc

I'm wondering if it is possible to build a set of utility programs that I can run from, say the CustomMenu or a hot key.

Cheers

Hi Malc,

Check the 'Compile' command. There is an example in the help.

Regards,

Joris.

Hi Joris,

I think he was talking about building an application that interact with WinDev IDE, not his own software IDE. (But I might not have understood properly the question.)

I would also like to know how to do that. There are couple modules I would do! smiling smiley

Best regards.

Hi Alexandre

Correct!

Coming from a VFP background, I am keen on creating some utilities/wizards etc to aid the development process

Cheers
