WebDev shutting down

My WebDev is shutting itself down at different times. No error message, nothing. Sometimes when I try to save a file, sometimes when I try to rename a file that has already been saved, it even happened once when I was trying to print a flexible modeling document. It's happened other times too, but I've just started keeping close track of it. Any one have any ideas. I've been in touch with PCSoft, but by email, this is going to take forever.

Thanks!

Hi J.

I am no webdev expert, but it seems to me that your session time is expired.

If this is the problem you should change the time a session should expire or change to the AWP method, with no session time.

This is explained in the WebDev video courses of Fabrice Harari, there are also some basic classes to start with.

Hope it helps.

Hi J,

If you're talking about being in the IDE and it shuts down without warning, the first thing I'd do is a re-install of the base with all updates.

Next I'd try installing a generic printer driver for your printer or even use a pdf printer driver (bullzip.com if you don't have one) and see if it fails.

Since you say it happens during file renames, I'd lean toward the first one fixing it.

Cheers!
Ken
