How to include HTML file in each WebDev page ?
September 12, 2008 07:55PM
Hi,

Instead of using a webdev template for the navigation buttons, I'm thinking of using an html file that describes the navigaton bar.

How do I include the html file at the beginning of each page. I know you can add html in the page description at the header, but how do you include the file. I've tried the usual

Include File
or
Include Virtual

but to no avail. Can this be done? What is the syntax for the include? What folder should the include files be in. What extensoin should be used for the file? htm, html, shtml.

Perhaps someone has an example ?

Thanks
John

John,

You can put all the HTML text in a javascript file with document.write(...) method.
Then include the Javascript file in your project.
