Hi Donald, I'm sorry, I accidentially deleted your post about the missing Linux Application Server v28 / 10 conn. ! Most probably this is an error, because there is an upgrade to v28 of the Linux App Server ( EWBPL2728US ) available.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Sorry, there's no way to get at your lost password. Good luck!by gpredl - WinDev Solutions
Hi Donald, imho there is CloudMounter in order to accomplish that feat.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, 1 - Note: English and French versions are closer than ever before, November to mid-February is a truly great achievment! We hope to get both versions at the same time next year! 2 - PCS fixed two errors in comparison to previous v28-versions. Menue items had a nasty problem, Alt-2 for "2 - My item" didn't work before, now it's working fine again. Changing the name ofby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, please, ask PC Soft! We cannot know ..by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter, yes! Leaving a FOR-TO or a WHILE-END loop prematurely leaves the stack filled without a chance of garbage collection. Result is like a memory leak. Even in programs with the old Microsoft BASIC Compiler one could invite desaster by leaving a loop with a 'GOTO outside' command. I don't know how WLanguage reacts because I never tried to leave a loop by GOTO - I'm usingby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, a WHILE-END loop is just a suggestion ... what to do if the response time is regularily short but once in while the response takes a very long time? If you do a Multitask(..) and wait a long time, your program wuill be sloow ...by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, there are plenty of commands to ... Multitask You could use a while - end loop to wait for a response and you could introduce a Timer to break the loop if it's a 'time out' e.g. WHILE MyResponseVariable = "" ENDby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, there always has been a price difference between upgrade prices during a certain period after announcement and later. Usually, the difference is even more than 10%. The upgrade period for the French products has ended already! However, as we can see in v28, the unification of French and English products has advanced quite a bit and I suspect that there will be no "French" and "by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, most of the label printers do have their own programming language (per manufacturer)! There should be a "Programmer's Manual" available for that printer. Use Google .. as an example:by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Rubén, the translation did not work in this case ... Hi, I have an application that queries the content of some official sites to display it to users. Up to version 27, the HTTP functions and variables in WM and WD worked correctly. With version 28, apparently because they have upgraded to OpenSSL 3.0, this no longer works when querying many servers because they are not properly updated inby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi infos, for me, this procedure would take too long. I just do a copy of the project code if changes had been made there. The project code is the only part of the project which is lost - because I simply do not know where to find it in the broken project folder.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Rubén, of course, I tried to delete the cpl folder - it did not help. Since I know what to do, it takes an hour or so to be up and running again.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, there's a solution from PC SOFT for it!!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Al, all the Best to you and your family and a Happy New Year 2023! Thanks for the answer! I'll try to install Windows 10/32 on a new computer ...by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, until WINDEV 25 we used a WINDEV 32-bit installation in order to use the "11-compatible RAD" generation. Starting from version 26, the 11-compatible RAD did not work and showed a few fundamental errors in the result of generation. In versions 26 and 27 one could install a 32bit version of WINDEV. In version 28, there seems to be no way at all to install the 32-bit version of WINDby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, I just had a similar problem about 2 months ago. I had to start a new project with the same name, copy the analysis (take the directory, don't copy the files separately!) first and then all of the windows to the new directory. The biggest problem of that procedure is the project code. You should backup your project code each time you're changing it.Otherwise you have to copy the proby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steven, I've always been using WINDEV 26 alone but lost some code too. Mainly, I'm using WINDEV v27 and had no data / code loss at all. So, I'm not sure that concurrent usage of WD mobile + WD is the complete cause ...by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, if I remember correctly, we've had a similar phenomenon with v25 + HFSQL. We fixed by switching to v26. Maybe, you could switch to v26 - see:by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, originally, this forum ran on a very old PHP-version (5.2) Mr Alexander Predl fixed it to run under 6.2 now. WordPress urged us since quite a time to upgrade our server. We hope no more problems can be detected. We apologize for any inconvenience!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, this is quite impossible. Either your HFSQL Server has a public IP address on the internet or it is within your network where you could access it by the computer's local IP address within your network. Your server has to have an accessible IP address, that's the rule of the game.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, there are no ideas whatsoever necessary. You can install your HFSQL C/S on most Linux Servers and on Windows Servers as well. Access is by IP-address + port (usually 4900, but any other possible).plus User + password.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, naturally, there's no way to get at the directory of a database. Let's assume, the database is running on a Linux server, what to do with the directory info? You could, of course, use a stored procedure in order to find out the database's directory.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steve, they always ask me to send small projects. This one is without any backups and zipped about 700 Mbytes. Can't use this server right now anyway. Would have to wait two days max for an answer from PCS while I'm up & running already.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Al, no, I'm not going there ... for me, it's too early in the morning to take a cold bath! First step is to create an empty project with the same name as the defective one Second step is to delete the directory MyProjectName.ana of the new project and copy the MyProject.ana of the defective project into it. Third, I'll import all of the windows, reports and global proceby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, our server has a defective disk drive (it's a mirrored one) which has to be changed in today's afternoon. There are 2 Tb of data on it and it will take some time until the re-mirroring has been finished. Expect to experience slow response times until this job has been finished. I'm sorry for any inconveniance!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, just to tell you. Until yesterday evening I used WD27 working on a big project. Today's morning things look bad. Whenever I'm starting this project it starts and then after 10 or 15 seconds it gives a "ploing!" and disappears. No WD27, no project. Without any chance to interfere. Since this happens once or twice a year it's nothing new to me. The strategy is toby gpredl - WinDev Forum
