Hi, the default password of the groupware files is in the documentation pcsgpw2001 - good idea would be to change the pw when releasing it to your customers.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, no, a supervisor is a supervisor. And: a supervisor can do anything. If you want to have a special Groupware then you have to program it yourself.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, of course, your application has to tell the stored procedure where the data is. e.g. put the connection info into a HF file and let the stored procedure read that data in order to open a connection.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, Stored Procedures can Read / Write the databases, there's a lot of communication possible. Look at the SP means Stored Procedureby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, yes, that's possible. You have to use a stored procedure on the server.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, according to our own tests, HFSQL is one of the fastest databases amongst the competition! We have Wx-customers using HFSQL databases with up to 1000 permanently connected PCs and tablets with database sizes of several gigabytes at very acceptable speeds. Of course, you have to know what you're doing when designing and programming for such a network. Our experience says that you have toby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, for polynomial interpolation you'll need at least three points to connect with a parabola! There is no interpolation between two points alone, that would be a straight line!! If you have those three points then you can find the necessary formulas on the web. If you understand German, there is a nice explanation on YouTube The full theory in German is hereby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, DeepL translates French into a readable German or English. In the past, there have been plans to publish an English LST but somehow ... The greatest obstacle to translate an LST into English or German is the fact that it's available on glossy paper - not in PDF - only. I do own a bunch of LSTs, I can read some French, but I don't speak it. To me, it's hard to comprehend ..by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Scott, imho, there is none in English. However, I recommend to use to get a xlation of the French text.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, you can find / adapt the dialog boxes in your project browser in "Internal components" ... WDFAA and modify them to your gusto!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, User Groupware can be implemented fast! A click and you're done! Note: there are some special Wlanguage functions / properties coming with Std User Groupware. Custom User Groupware allows everything you can achieve with Std User Groupware and more - you can even use most of those special functions / properties of Std User Groupware. Imaginable functions are: 1 - Keeping of loby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Djebel, I'm sorry, this is an ENGLISH language forum only! There are lots of French forums around OR you translate your post to English. Thank you for your understanding!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, it's easy. Just leave your development machine switched on at home and use a remote desktop software like AnyDesk, PCVisit etc to access your machine and fix errors, add features etc. Any printing has to be done by "Preview" at first.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, PC SOFT offers a Webinar - on YOUTUBE - about how to consume a REST WEB SEVICE next Tuesday, June 7th, 2022, 18:00 or 6 pm Paris time.by gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi Scott, Ok, if that's your wish ... no problem, so, your name may be "WINDEV Tutorial Forum!" ! For the legal part, I'd like to know your full address and phone number, if you don't want to publish it on the forum, just send a mail to office@syspredl.com.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Scott, I'm creating a forum for you! Is there any idea for a name? "Scotty's WINDEV forum" ? I'm not sure I can give you admin rights just for that forum, but I'll see ...by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Scott, first of all I want to say a big "Thank you!" for providing a video tutorial for absolute beginners in WINDEV! It's quite good to base it on WINDEV Express, sparing your auditorium from buying WINDEV front up. It's a good idea and a lot of work to prepare those lessons and I hope you're getting some turnover from it in return to your investment!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, it's easy! If your Classic files are *.fic then just open the HFSQL Control Center and use "Import a HFSQL Classic Database" If file extensions are <> .fic import should work from v26 on. Btw, you can use v27 HFSQL v27 together with WINDEV < v27.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter, thank you!! As I can see, your code includes binary memos + images as well. HRecordToJSON ignores any pictures. As you could see, I chose a relatively simple way to set the Edit controls of a Form with the content of the record from a file. HJSONToRecord(..) doesn't work at all. Of course, for sending a QueryRecord by Web Service that code is by far not sufficient. Thank yby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, originally, my intention was to have protection similarily to PC Soft's dongles. If your PC goes south, you just remove the dongle and continue working with another PC. In fact, we have hundreds of customers using single PCs. However, those PCs are essential for production which is done 24/7 at days, at night, on Saturdays and on Sundays. No PC - no production. Hi, obviously I'm that simple-minded to think that reading a record by HRecordToJSON() and storing the result in a file and then reading the file and restoring the record by using HJSONToRecord() would restore the original record. This doesn't work at all! The string structure output by HRecordToJSON() is incompatible with a subsequent HJSONToRecord() !! However, the solution is mby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Aad, no it tracks WRITE OPERATIONS to a HyperFile file on HFSQL SERVER, see the HELP Starts tracking write actions (addition, modification or deletion) performed on a file found in an HFSQL server. In case of modification, a specific procedure can be triggered. This track can be stopped by HTrackStop.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Argus, yes, I sent a demo project to PC Soft Tech Support containing a single file with just 4 items, none of them is of text/binary etc memo type. In my real project I listed all of the items (175!) to export / import without any memo items. Demo project:by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, has anybody ever successfully used both functions HRecordToJSON and HJSONToRecord ??? Whatever I do, the HRecordToJSON works just fine (= no error, doesn't mean a lot) but HJSONToRecord ALWAYS gives back an error telling me "Error caused by 2 parameter, Invalid JSON format." Is there any secret to these functions? Or is it just a plain bug?by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Michael, just use Shift + Druck, an image of the screen will be stored in the Zwischenablage, just fire up Paint and show the image there with Strg + Vby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi issah, b4x is windev etc for the poor guys. They say, it is a continuation of Visual Basic ... and its free. Same, even better is Flutter / Dart it's a free multiplatform runtime & language. But you have to learn new paradigms.by gpredl - Off Topic Discussion / Ranting Corner
Oh my God! Please, send an info to PC Soft Tech Support now! Thank you!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Frans, I'd try to de-activate things in the Project Description. After that you could adjust the AAF-menu of this Table ...by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, you can use ..zoom in order to resize a window. Problem is that only a few controls like Table etc respond to zooming. If you want to get better readability for certain situations (low or high res monitors, visually challenged users etc) you have to think about changing the style of your application => 'Skins'by gpredl - WinDev Forum
