Hi Noel On this one client, do they have exactly the same version of WD 2024 as all other sites? Is the report a 'simple' report, or complex/composite in some way? Have you raised a query with Tech support? (I had occasion to do this with a report query in WD2024, and they came right back with a patch). Regards Mikeby Mike James - WinDev Forum
Update: Upgraded to 61r, composite report still results in error, this time reading "data source cannot be initialised". Same code works on a simple report, however, I'm investigating how the calls to the sub-reports (within R&Q) should be constructed.by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Windows 11 OS. I'm not sure exactly when this changed, but I note that using control F inside a multi-line text field results in a global search across our app. We store code in these fields, and a global search is irrelevant. Has anyone noticed that or have any suggestions to restore the previous behaviour?by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Hi Steven The version they sent me was 29.0.249.14 in both files. I haven't upgraded to 61j yet. Regards Mikeby Mike James - WinDev Forum
Turns out it is a bug, PC Soft have sent me a link to replacement dlls, wdbrwdll and wdbrw64dll.by Mike James - WinDev Forum
I have received the below error when running a composite report to PDF upgraded from WD28. The composite report has two sub-reports. The line of code that errors is the second line here: iDestination(iGenericPDF, gsInvFileName) iPrintReport(gsfile,dsInvoice_details, dsInvoice_Summary,dsInvoice_xxx_facility_id,pHeader,pDateFrom,pDateto) Windev (64 bit) is running on Windows 11 (note the errorby Mike James - WinDev Forum

I think the backslash is required to avoid the asterisk being given a special regex meaning, eg: [\*] Regards Mikeby Mike James - WinDev Forum
Are all the files created and saved with the same version of Office (32/64bit, version number)? Any possibility the column offset is not being reset properly in some cases? How is the column offset being applied in code?by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Hi Issah, there is a semi-colon at the end of the filename, would that be the cause?by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Further to this, we are also using HTTPGetResult(httpHeader) to extract header details from the last HTTPSend operation, and we note that the response is always http/1.1, even though HTTPSend returns a response (now that we have corrected the project description) using http/2. The Help for HTTPGetResult reads in part: "The protocol returned by HTTPGetResult with the httpHeader constant isby Mike James - WinDev Forum
We have found a project description setting (Advanced tab), "Rendering engine for HTML controls...", which was set to IE8, have changed it to "latest IE/Edge", and are now receiving responses in http/2. Testing continues.by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Hi Argus, In a Windev project we using HTTPSend to post data to a cloud app. The httpResponse variable is returning a header including "http/1.1", but we know that the cloud app supports http/2. So we thought that HTTPSend is limited to http/1.1, and posted here.by Mike James - WinDev Forum
It appears that WX26 products only support http/1.1 protocol in (eg) httpResponse variable. Does anyone know whether/when PCSoft will support http/2?by Mike James - WinDev Forum

Thanks Argus We set the particular field to unicode which resolved our problem. Still considering whether to apply this across the board. Regards Mikeby Mike James - WinDev Forum
Thanks Peter, I will discuss with my colleague who develops the application. Is there any performance hit on indices by doing this?by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter Researched your suggestion further. Found that (in the analysis) the index option you referred to for that field was not enabled, nor for any text fields.Thank you for pointing me at it. Do you generally enable that for all text fields, or selectively considering what data they might hold? Meantime I am using the more general join condition on wl.stringtoutf8(<fic>.prdcodeby Mike James - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter Thanks for your suggestion. The table has character set "Roman (characters) in ANSI standard" which I believe is the default. Space, dash and obliques are all normal ASCII characters. Removing the spaces (in the JOIN statement) resolves the issue with this query, ie: - replace(<fic table>.prdcode,' ','') = replace(T1.Item_Number,' ',by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Hi, a join on two fields, which have slightly different content, produces a match: 1: RB3548N 002/58 from an fic table 30 bytes) 2: RB3548N 002-58 from a CSV There is a space in the middle of each string. I'd be very grateful for any comments. Regards Mikeby Mike James - WinDev Forum

Hi: In your first example you used " (" with a leading space, but ")" with no trailing space. Can you try using ") "? Regards Mikeby Mike James - WinDev Forum

I also found only v22 files from the ftp link, and was unable to find v23 R&Q anywhere on the FTP site. It has always been available as a separate download, as it can be run without a Windev license. My colleague had a copy (of v23 R&Q user edition) so I obtained it from him.by Mike James - WinDev Forum
Can anyone give me a link to the v23 download of Reports & Queries (user edition)? It used to be here (or on a sub-page): , but I have searched without success. The automatic download (which is initiated when you edit a user report on a workstation where R&Q is not installed) hasn't worked for me today (dialog window disappears a few moments after selecting OK). Many thanksby Mike James - WinDev Forum
