Thank you JP! How to switch to text based source files??? Thanks in advance!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, did you download? If so, I have to delete the posting + the file!by gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi Allard, the new owners want to see fat profits. 4D's pricing scheme is much higher. 4D charges for end-user runtimes too!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steve, no, the queried non-unique key to the file is a composed string of 16 bytes (date(8) + customer#(6) + document#(2)), several records (5 - 100) may contain the same key value, these are to be shown in a Table control. file size is 1.71 Gb, number of records is ~2.2 million. A query took up to 20 seconds with varying results, sometimes much faster, sometimes taking as long as 20 secondby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, queries on big files have to be slow. Here, having a data file with 2.2 million records and running a query yielding about 50 records out of it, this will be inevitably slow. No way out. Yes, you can do a lot of research and waste your time on speeding the query up! Long ago I did so and wasted my time. Instead, in order to fill a "Table Control populated programmatically", do thby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, did you see the price? US$ 395 / month = US$ 4740 / year! Why don't you stay with WX ? Uh, I see, the "Community License" is free. Can you publish any products under this license? Isn't that for open source only?by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Derek, Imho, the price of Syncfusion with US$ 395 / MONTH is prohibitive ... if you buy that then you could stay with WX anyway!? What's the positive difference there?by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, try Flutter / Dart. Yes, you have to learn a new environment, a new language ... but it is completely free like a free beer. However, there is a bunch of generators out there in the web to speed up development. These aren't free, of course.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Thank you, Mr. Garrido! To clarify things: the WLanguge and WX-products are intellectual property of PC SOFT. It's OK to make a program - using any other programming language / IDE - to translate your project's WLanguage source code (e.g. from GitHub) to any other programming environment. It's definitely not OK using a WLanguage program for such a task. See the general cby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, in flutterflow, testing is free, however you have to pay US$ 30.- / month if you want to get / see your generated source, US$ 70.- to upload the executable to both play stores. It may be a timesaver, but I think, it isn't worth it. Rather look at or or understand code generation with Andrea Discussion on Look at the number of packagesby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Brian, A similar catastrophe befell the owners of the Fisker Ocean vehicles, who could no longer even open the vehicles, let alone drive them, after the sudden disappearance of the manufacturer. The vehicles could no longer be used without the central servers!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steven, please send question to PC Soft! Thank you!by gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi Mike, be assured, they can't destroy your dongle and the - ageing - version of WX on your hard disk. After all, you paid for it and did not steal it. However, you are excluded from any new features of future versions! This will force a few hard decisions on you, your products, your customers and your company anyway. They're not easy to answer and answers will be different for each deby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, your questions are valid questions, no one except PC Soft can answer. I strongly recommend to send your questions to PC Soft and ask for an answer! Maybe, they did not think it through completely, maybe they thought it through and decided to just go for it? I don't know, I have no answers, sorry.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Paolo, the world of software is in constant flow. E.g. we found out that code signing our software is now possible only using a dongle, starting at 159,- EUR / year the cheapest, equals 13,25 / month. Our certification provider has stopped doing business with code signing just because of that. One can't deliver unsigned software for windows systems anymore. Our own software is changby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, yes, for the time being, this seems to be correct! Stop paying - stop developing! Till now, PC SOFT didn't and doesn't clarify anything, even to us distributors. However, if you stop paying or you can't afford the payments anymore, that means that you don't have a running business anymore. Why would you develop anything without a business? Even if you're jobless, Iby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi JP, no, if you had to upgrade your dongle using the upgrade software then the 2025 version is on your dongle and its there until the next hundred years! Don't panic!by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Aad, no, this is just a sales message and no, they will / can not turn off your dongle version 24. But, to make things clear, you cannot upgrade your dongle to dongle version 2025, you have to order SaaS and will get the newest / last version available. Until March 31st, you can upgrade your dongle 24 version to version 2025 SaaS for 540,- Euros / year only! Means, that they don'by gpredl - WinDev Forum

Hi JP, no, you will not be forced, nobody can force you to upgrade to SaaS. Download & install your 2025 upgrades. However, as far as I can see version 2026 will be SaaS only. It's your decision to keep your 2025 dongle/s or to convert to version 2026 SaaS. Many development tools are now available in SaaS only. If you want to avoid the extraordinary cost of switching to another developmeby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Mike, not anymore! Seems to me, it's a dongle-free future we are going into. There's a new owner in town, asking for more profit, of course, they want to get their money back Reducing cost will be done by streamlining / simplifying sales processes. Dongles + printed books are expensive and have to be shipped by DHL. SaaS is cheaper and guarantees for a steady flow of income. The advby gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi, the ftp site is not accessible anymore, therefore ... Download a version prior to version 28 (2 methods) * Retrieve the email you received when you ordered your logciel. This email contains the download URL for the version you have ordered. * Contact Free Technical Support using the TechSupportRequest tool (please use this method only, emails you send directly will not be processed)by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steve, yes, it's a bug in the autoupdate sofware. Just ignore it.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Steve, it depends on what you ordered! If you ordered a simple upgrade of your dongles to version 2025, there shouldn't be any reference to SaaS. If you ordered an upgrade to SaaS then the dongles which were the base to your SaaS order should have been downgraded to version 23.by gpredl - WinDev Forum
Hi Paulo, It's rather complex. That's a company sitting in Ireland, represented by John ISAK, see Google. This company owns 4D too. 4D is a French/German company making similar things like PC Soft, but imho is not a real contender. They ask for runtime fees from the users of software made with 4D tools! Everything's very expensive. However, all of these companies are owned by Coby gpredl - WinDev Forum
