Hi Arie, it seems like the SCM is causing the problem. I never use the SCM but - until now -WX installations always required me to fill in a shared directory for the SCM. Now it stops when it tries to access this directory Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Guenter, just sent the info to tech support Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Michael, the problem is NOT with the version of some of the DLLs but the creation date. Some of them are NEWER in 89p than in 100j !!! In the past we had to update a previous version to get to install an update - but there is NO mention of this for version 100j. BUT the French version (also 100j) must be installed on top of a previous version - clearly stated in the French download area.by SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi again, the only way I could install the Release WX26 version is to install it on TOP of the pre-release version. Even then I am not sure that everything is OK since this update/install also fails at the end - it just uses the links and the SCM of the previously installed version (WX26 preRelease) and you miss the actual failure. Something that is also disturbing is that some files/DLLs in vby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Al, did you install the Release version [100 ..] on top of the PreRelease version or did you make a clean install ? At least you installed version 100 - I am still fighting with the installation ... Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, I am trying to install v26 of WX and it "seems" like it aborts before the installation is completed. I say, seems because it takes a LONG time to install the last 5-10% and the installation just closes without offering any prompt for creating links, etc. I have downloaded the install 3 times and tried to install it on 3 different computers - but I always get the same. Has my WXby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, after checking the help, it seems like the Drawer or the Layout Control must be used for a WEBDEV Sidebar. I was hoping for a control that is easier to implement ... Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, I would swear that I read in a 9xx PCSOFT feature PDF about a WEDBDEV Sidebar. Anyone has a link or did I just "dream" about it? Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Al, the only thing I found was that I had to "reinitialize" the environment _AND_ re-run the IDE ... I am running the 64bit version of the IDE - all three products integrated. btw - None of my apps have an "Initializing the project after connection" area _AND_ most of them were created in v21, moved to v25, and then moved to v26. Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Michael, this has been reported in WX v25 already so nothing "new" in WX26 I haven't come across this bug in v25 or v26 - maybe I am just lucky ... As I said the IDE is "bomb proof" here - but there may be problems in the VM Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Guenter, the FRENCH version is now 100g NOT 5u - the first time I have ever seen a 100x release in WX !!! And although the WX26 English version is a "preRelease" version it is the most STABLE WX version I have worked with. It takes of course some time to feel comfortable with the NEW Standard Interface in the IDE, but it makes it more VS-like. Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Guenter, other than keeping the UI, Business, and Data-tier segregate there isn't anything different in the WEB world . And if you already do this in your WINDEV apps, WEBIFY, is a good start ... Of course, if you want to make WEB sites with millions of users you would indeed need other kinds of technologies ... Hi CC2, You "sound" very angry I purchased WX26 a few weeks ago and was informed that the English version will be available in mid-April. They asked me if I wanted to work with the French version (it has an English toggle), I said yes, and they sent me info to upgrade my dongle(s). Other than missing English examples, everything else works in English (except some error messages).by SteveSitas - WinDev Forum

Hi Peter, After many tries, I finally found how to LOOP/Read an XML file with XMLnode(s) and XSD(s). The help (as most of the time) is not very helpful and I am starting to think that the English version of the help is produced "automatically" .. And of course, there is NO example to show the above. Here is what works for me (with Autocompletion). 1. Lets say that we have an XSby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Nobody? My problem with the above code is that I cannot find a valid FOR EACH syntax when an XML node (NODEInvoice) uses a syntax with the <description =... It works fine when NODEInvoice is xmlNode (the simple syntax), but then I don't have ANY kind of autocompletion with the xmlNode... Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, I am trying to read an XML file with the help of an XSD file (included in my project). I can do everything manually with XML node(s) but I can't do it with the help of an XSD !!! Here is how the XML files looks like (very simple description): <RequestedDoc> <invoicesDoc> <invoice> .... various nodes </invoice> <invoice> .... various nodes &lby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter, Thanks - I will give it a try. Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Peter, I have added the XSD to "external descriptions" _AND_ the XSD has ".id" instead of ".ID" This code works exactly as you describe it: cMyDoc is xmlDocument <description="InvoicesDoc-v1_0_2"> //and I can use ".id" on the cMyDoc variable with NO problem But this code shows "the erratic behavior": NODEInvoice iby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, I used ExecuteCode() to bypass the problem - I am a little short on time these days ... But there must be a simpler solution Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, This is an XML node assignment - so it can't be done with a string or quotes - WD returns an error .. I need this: tempString = NODEInvoice.invoiceDetails.incomeClassification.id and the WD editor transforms it to this: tempString = NODEInvoice.invoiceDetails.incomeClassification.ID where: NODEInvoice is xmlNode Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, I have a situation where ".id" is automatically transformed to ".ID" in the WD editor (v25). Since id is an XML node - case sensitive - I need to STOP Windev from transforming it to ID ... Any Ideas? Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, Check to see if something is missing from the wsdl ... Try Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi Ola, Just have in mind the following when you use an XML file instead of the registry: (1) They get "destroyed" a lot - almost all the time if a computer does NOT have a UPS. So a good idea would be to handle this problem in an exception, like: sParameterFile is string = "..." // your parameter file WHEN EXCEPTION IN InitParameter(paramXML, sParameterFile) DOby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, I am trying to update some older W20/21 SOAP Services to WD25 SOAP Services - no code changes. I create a setup by physical media and install the Services on my IIS Server. Hi, it happens with large WD25 apps - immigrated from WD19 - and 2 of them are opened at the same time. Using WD64, on Windows 10/64 with 16GB and I can "replicate it 100%". Could be of course a problem with my OSBuild and my specific anydesk version ... Regards Steven Sitasby SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
Hi, Working with WD25, it sometimes just closes unexpectedly - nothing gets lost. Before "closing"/vanishing it looks like WD does some kind of autosave .... It looks like this happens when AnyDesk is either running or just in the bottom task line of windows ... For the last couple of days, I make sure that AnyDesk is not running, before I run WD and have NOT seen the problem.by SteveSitas - WinDev Forum
