All the best for the 2023, and I'd like to ask: is Fabrice Harari around in the WX community ? /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi, As you have probably noticed I am into desktop applications (using WD) and I am not especially familiar with HTTP and the like. I have already mastered getting a file from a web server. Now I would like to upload (POST so to say) a file to specific directory of my web server (URI known) via HTTP. Windev help suggests that it is possible, only. I am afraid that it isn't possibleby jacek - WinDev Forum
Thanks Al. Yes, I have. Sorry for keeping quiet, but I did some more experimenting. It seems that version does not get incremented when I compile my project in a batch (using *.wdbatch file). The projects consists of several external components and the project that compiles to an EXE file. I think I'll just drop WD version incrementing and make it myself just as I did with HTTP updby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi , (Just saw your message.) It did not work for me. Argus told me to write my own live update. I did. Wasn't very complicated. Best of luck /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi, My problem: Windev is not incrementing version number while creating an executable, well, so it seems. I did some research: [1]. "Recompile the project before generating..." (Project description): is checked [2]. "Recompile the project before generating..." (Creating the Windows executable): is checked [3]. When I set the version number by hand it gets incrementedby jacek - WinDev Forum
Great ! Thanks for pointing the right direction. /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hello, I thought that updating my customers' applications "via HTTP access" would be great, so I have given it a try. On HTTP server side: 1. The 1. It works every other time. (I can live with it). 2. The messages on customers' computers are in French. This can't be. I need other languages. Does any one have any experience with it ? How can I edit the messagby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi, Thanks very much indeed for your suggestions. Finally I went for Jerko (infos) solution. In my case it is not the speed (chapeau bas Argus) but the flexibility that is more important. All the best /Jacek PS. The discussion helped me to put quite a few things straight. Thanks againby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi Paulo, Thanks a lot for the links and examples. But still I don't like it. I don't fancy special cases. All the best /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
Thanks a lot Argus, I can see your point now. All the best /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi Dennis, Thanks a lot. Will try it tomorrow. :-) /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi , Thanks Argus. I see, I should have explained myself in more detail. My customers have various preferences concerning a DB, they want to maintain. I had a dream that I shall be able to use HExecuteSQLQuery() with a connection. Same desktop application but different connection in case of each customer (defined in her/his INI file). Suddenly, surprise, it works with most DBs but the one nby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi, Is it possible to run a SQL statement on a HFSQL Classic tables without creating analysis ? Thanks in advance for your kind and elaborating answer /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hello Guenter, What a wonderful idea. You must have gained an insight into that mysterious process in which a French mind decides what is intuitive and what is not. Sorry francophiles, I'll be in a much better mood tomorrow morning. Anyway, it did not work. Alas your idea has switched something in my brain and I have changed test mode configuration (Menu: Project >Test mode > Coby jacek - WinDev Forum
After spending several frustrating hours, I need a workaround for a simple automatic test like this: PROCEDURE MyScenario() EmulateInput(WIN_RegVisitA_BOC.EDT_CargoCode,"{F5}") //Scenario that will be run when opening // the "cmp_wdWS50DictSQL.WIN_SelectCargo" window ON "cmp_wdWS50DictSQL.WIN_SelectCargo" DO EmulateInput("cmp_wdWS50DictSQL.WIN_SelectCby jacek - WinDev Forum
Hi, I have a main project which uses windows from several external components. There were problems with the windows loosing skin template when displayed from the main project. My experience with using windows from external components progressed as my application grew. I have noticed: [1.] It looks like ticking the in project description > style, strips windows coming from components offby jacek - WinDev Forum
Thanks Vassilis, I have missed "automatic" in the message proper. My problem is with automatic (unit) testing of a window with parameters. If you use WD for automatic testing, some sample code of the testing "scenario" will make me your debtor for 100 years. Stay healthy /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
I have a window with parameters to test. Is there a way to supply window parameters' values from within a test ? I should test the window with at least 5 sets of parameters. Couldn't find anything in the documentation. Have I been missing something ? Thanks in advance /Jacekby jacek - WinDev Forum
