Hi all, I'm trying to use some tables from an SQL server and if the tables are not part of the dbo schema, they fail to import. It errors saying that it was unable find / open the files. If I rename the table schema to 'dbo', they import fine. Any thoughts on how to import the data files into the analysis without having to purchase the native drivers? Hi John, I'm not sure you can put a label on TOP of the column in webdev. In case you weren't aware you can put one underneath using CHART_MyChart.CategoryLabel(2,"Column 2"). You may want to look at integrating a javascript based charting library that has a bit more granular control. There are several really nice ones out there. Cheers! kenby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Also worth mentioning if you have a function or object in JS that you want to access in WL code you can prefix the EXTERN keyword like so; EXTERN window EXTERN MyFunction MyFunction("simple value") // Call a function that takes a simple value. It gets a bit tricky if the function takes objects. // Access the DOM EXTERN document pclTitle is dynamic object = document.getEby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Hi Marco, I've got several services that have been running for many years non-stop with the exception of reboots for OS updates. You may want to add in some debug and processing logic that checks to see if something is still being processed and it is continually stepping on itself and eventually failing. One of the services I have is an SMS processor. So it gathers all the unprocesby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Very nice John! I was going to recommend a command line version I've been using for years, but I think I'm going to switch to that instead. Cheers! Kenby kenknight - WinDev Forum
HI all, Well for the first time in what feels like 100 years (technically only about 15) I am available to take on some consulting or contract work. I've only been VERY sporadically able to contribute to the forums over the last many years due to time consuming projects, but hope to be able to jump back in. So if anyone needs any consulting / contract work, please let me know. You caby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Hi all, Had a friend that had his notebook destroyed along with dongles connected. Wanted to see if anyone had a webdev version that were selling. At least late enough so that it wouldn't cost like a new one to get it up to v24. Thanks, Kenby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Pietvanz, yes I've seen that problem in the last few months. I don't have an exact solution, but many times, simply closing project and then closing and re-opening webdev seems to eliminate the problem. They other thing you can check is the read-only attribute on the physical file to see what it is set to. Taking off the read-only status and then hitting save may work.by kenknight - WinDev Forum
Thanks Adri for the info. Well, I got some great news from PCsoft. I sent them a short video demonstrating the problem and they have figured it out and say they'll have a fix in the next release. I've been dealing with this for the last few years, so I'm tickled to know it won't be long now. Cheers! Kenby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Hi Ericus, Over the last few years, more and more ISP's are implementing what is known as SPF (Sender Policy Framework). One of the things this framework does is validate that a sending mail server has authority to send emails on behalf of a specific domain. We started seeing this problem more frequently a couple of years ago and the only way that we found to combat it was to have theby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Hi all, Are any of you working in a multi-developer environment using the SCM? If so, are you experiencing the problem where anytime you try to hit the RUN button or deploy a project, the SCM prompts you to re-login multiple times and displays one of the other developers names? With v24, I'm having to re-enter credentials about 3 ~ 4 times each time I compile the project. I'veby kenknight - WinDev Forum
Hi Yogi, First step is to copy the value of gsPhotoURL + sNewsPhoto either to the clipboard or save to a text file and inspect it for invalid characters or malformed url. Next simply paste the URL into a browser and see if you get an error. If url is valid and you get an error from server, then something on the server is incorrectly configured.
