Want to fight agains SaaS then probably you should join this movement

Lazarus is capable for those with experience with object oriented pascal. I took a look and it really is more of a learning curve than I am interested in. Probably will just stay with WinDev 2025 for the one application I still support and look for a nice retirement hobby.

Practically this is do able but it would require loads of development time.

To shorten development time I would like to suggest that you take a close look at following sets of components/libraries:

- TMS Component collection (http://www.tmssoftware.com/), this is a commercial offering

- mORMot (https://synopse.info/forum/viewforum.php?id=24), this is opensource

Yo compre la 2025 y me encontré con este valde de agua fría, con que lo se no compro la licencia y para mas remate compre las 3 , en fin aquí me quedare a menos que esta gente cambie su política, no podemos pagar cada mes por nada, porque eso es lo que obtendrás al final del camino , si no pagas no tienes nada.

I bought the 2025 and was met with this bucket of cold water, so I know not to buy the license, and to top it off, I bought all three. Anyway, I'll stay here unless these people change their policy. We can't pay every month for nothing, because that's what you'll get at the end of the day: if you don't pay, you get nothing.
No to renewal.

I have updated WD, WB, and Mobile every year because I actively use them. But this is the conclusion I reached as well:
