It has been working for a very long time (version 16)

What you need to make sure of :

- your ressource is indeed included in the project (in the compilation phase, add it to the list of objects in the project)
- you are using the correct name
- you are not trying to extract something in a directory where you do NOT have the writing rights

Show your code and context for more

It works !!

My mistake was that I only specified a destination folder and not the destination folder + filename

thumbs up

thanks Argus for your time !

Hey Argus

It works in a separate program but not in the program I really need it in.
I use this same variable and functions sad smiley

What do you extract? Also an rpt file and that goes well?

TIA

I have extracted lots of things in different situation...

In order to help, you need to tell us where you are (mobile, windev, etc) and show us your code

I would say it's because you are not specifying the destination and it doesn't know where "" is

I have send a small project to pcsoft, because it does not work in runtime....
