[WD23] Awful rendering of HTML emails [Solved]
September 14, 2020 03:56PM
Hi all,

I don't much like the way WD's rendering engine is displaying the HTML messages in emails, when moved to an HTML control. Quite too often I find that the text has enourmous spaces between lines and paragraphs.

When I compare the looks of the same HTML message in WD and in Pegasus, my age old favourite email client, I see, that it can be done much nicer, even decently, like Pegasus does. I wonder what is the trick, and how I could do the same...

Any hints?

Best regards
Ola

Hi all,

The trick was changing the HTML-text item in the email file from ANSI to Unicode. Now everything looks much better, and even UTF-8 coded älphåbëts now come out OK!

Best regards
Ola
