Re: Service and Message (Toast like) display

Windev 22, Windows Service Application

The service application is working fine. Need to display a message(s) to the uses, when something goes wrong. How it could be achieved? Seems service application won't allow any message(s) to get displayed.

Tried calling a windev (windows) application from the service application, that too didn't work out.

Any ideas to display messages to the user from a windows service application?

For a service to be able to display a message, you have to go in it's properties and check something called 'allows service to interact with UI', or something of the sort

For a service to be able to start another exe, you need to run it with a user who actually has such rights.
