Delete many records and make file decrease

Hello ,

If you delete data in a large file with millions of records, the file will not get smaller.

What method could you use to make the file smaller anyway.
An export, empty the file and then perform an import?

Who has ever done that before?

The database mechanism "holds" the deleted or crossed records, for several reasons (undo the deletion).
In order to delete the "deleted" records permanetly, open the HFSQL Control Center, go to the desired table, press right click and choose Optimize and repair. Then the Optimizing window opens, check "Rebuild the indexes" option, as well as "Delete the inactive records". Press "Start Optimizing".
