[WD24]: Getting error "cannot register to the server"

Hello,

One user gets the error:

"The application cannot register to the server"
server path is: \\servername\Application setup folder\Application name\INSTALL\

This happens, after automatic update over Network setup, just before the window login appears.
Other users continue to work fine.
Any of you have experience with this ?

That user have write permissions in the INSTALL folder and sub-folders?

Hello Paulo,

Yes the permissions are full for Everyone.
The problem rised yesterday, after update. All other users run fine.

P.S. The application has 2 versions (32 and 64 bit) and runs with different Windows versions (7, 10) 32/64bit with no problem, except to 1 user.

Did you check the permissions in the share and in the security?

The client app writes one file in the \\servername\Application setup folder\Application name\INSTALL\LOCK folder

The problem solved: The folder INSTALL/LOCK, was locked by the user.
Reason? Unknown!

Just reboot the Server and then delete all the .tmp files undel LOCK folder.
