[WD19] How to install and run Windev Linux apps to Ubuntu

Hi All,

I try to run Windev Linux apps on Ubuntu 19.10 but its fail.

I try install the Windev Linux apps using Wine and PlayOnLinux but its cannot install.

The Windev Linux apps is on 64bit with .so file.

Any guide how to start it?

Hi, WINE is a Windows emulator and eventually will run WINDEV Windows applications - file extension is .exe. A WINDEV Linux application will directly run on Ubuntu - without any emulator! READ: [help.windev.com]

Thanks for the hint.

I try to follow the help instruction but still no success.

Event i only run single windows program without database to the Ubuntu 19.10 but nothing is run.

No message or error info.

The libqtcore4 and libqtgui4 already updated.

The ia32-libs also updated.

Is it possible that Ubuntu 19.10 not support for Windev19 Linux program?

I'm sorry, I never tried to make & run a Linux application, I just know about basic principles. I'll try right now and will tell you about the outcome!

Hi

Windev 19 Wins32/64 have no issue on Ubuntu 19.10 with wine except some windows fonts
problems esp when printing labels so does wd24 32/64-bit.

Just dun mix up with .so and you have to generate 64-bit linux app from wd19-24... on 64-bit Unbuntu
U18.04 LTS is best to use as no support for U19.10 next year, akind of waster time
to test out.

FYI wd-64bit apps still best running on win64...
