Passing a parameter to a site

Hi,

I need to pass a parameter to a site. Can't seem to find the help page that has the information.

I think the format is http:\\mysite?param1 but not too sure. How do you receive it in the init of the project?

How do you test it in development mode since the browser address is dynamic and auto-generated?

Thanks and regards

Hello,

I thought this was a feature a lot of you were experienced with. I need help real bad.

At least someone should point me to the relevant help page or article.

Thanks

Hi,

I might be missing something, but personally, I've never seen the need to pass a parameter to a website at start up. If there ever was a need to do this, I wouldn't do it directly at start up - I'd have a page that would in turn send the required parameter

Maybe give us some background as to why you want to do this...?

Regards,
Darren.

Hello,

I see what you mean. The parameter will be used to query a file containing additional parameters including the actual database to connect to.

I can consider using the starting page but would prefer using the link.

thanks and regards

From within windev webdev use pagedisplay( param1, param2 etc )
You can use what you thought of as well [domein.com] etc. If you have an awb or php webpage this will work just fine.
