Is it so that Hfunctions ==> hreadseekfirst ( ..,..,,,) etc stay in memory and do they in that respect "steel server power " . ?

I gues it is good practice if you do a h function on a querie result then to free the querie if not used any more but does this apply to h functions on normal tables ( As in analyse defined )?

Yes, the hreadseekfirst opens one connection in the DB engine and it stays open.
