we're still using MDI and RAD11 for Windows desktop applications. That worked fine up to WD23. Since there's no flag "This is a RAD11 - MDI-Project" in the project description (a request we're sending every year since 15 years ..) we have to start out with a new MDI-project by inputting the analysis first and then do a "Full Application RAD" with choosing "MDI" as user interface. This works fine most of the time. We translated / debugged / adapted the MDL-files etc. in order to generate the skeleton of a working MDI-project. From that time on, the project will remember to be "MDI" and all single RAD11 windows generated will contain MDI-code.

Not so with WINDEV 24! Every now and then it is losing the "MDI-flag" of the project and the next generated single window will contain SDI code instead of MDI-code. There are solutions to the problem but none of them is to my taste.

I wish we could have a RAD25 which does the same as RAD11 does - but by using internal windows. As experience teaches us, wishes are seldom becoming true. (in this case PC Soft would have to solve the problem of calling an internal window from another one. We do that with a timer and by putting the name of the next internal window to open into a directory, but that can't be the way to do it seriously).
