WM24 app crashes after installing latest update

After updating to the latest WM24 release (75t), my app no longer runs under android. I get the following error...

dlopen failed: library "data/app/com.mycompany.ebalance2-1/lib/x86/libwd240hf.so" not found

So I manually copied that file in, and now I get the error 'Unable to open ebalance2 analysis.

Next I checked 'Include HF libraries', and now the error is 'Type defined for <view_elements> file is unknown'. It is a sqllite view, with the appropriate connection. All worked wonderfully prior to this update.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?

No, no one kows what happened. My WD24 / 75t disturbs the video of my computer after showing an error like a simple "duplicates" or "integrity" error. And no, it's not the heat. I'm pondering going back to 63m.

OK rolled back to 63m and all is good again. What a stuff-up by PCSoft....

after try and error, I suspect problem is cause by the database .

I try create simple (no database) android app and deploy , no crash .
the I try add sqlite connection , strange, WM not showing me any tables in the sqlite file . I test connection show success.

after roll back WM , I try create android project . this time I can see tables in the sqlite file.

SQlite database works just fine in WM23 (and 22) app, and in WM24. To me that suggests a problem with WM24 v63m. Problem only present in this latest patch. To me that pretty clearly points to some change in this patch that has broken things.

Hi. For me the application that uses HF works correctly. However the problem is with Android 9 Arm64, not in Android 4 Arm(32) for example. When the application closes the logs show errors, and if the application reopens when it closes and shows a message on the screen indicating that the application still does not work. Errors occur when calling the HCreationIfNotFound or HModifyStructure functions. It is as if some thread were running in the background and was badly closed by the application. I sent PCSoft an example showing the problem.

EDIT: No error in Samsung Tablet Tab A with Android 7.1 Arm(32). The problem is with devices with Android 9 Arm64 only.

Hi. I answer to myself. Today I made new tests with the applications that had problems with the WM240075t version. I think I have found the reason for them.

In the IDE the default option to select the version of the SDK that will be used to compile the application. I have the SDK updated to the most recent version. The IDE puts in the Manifest application in android:targetSdkVersion=28. That makes that there are options that fail in the programs:

a) Use of HF (problems with thread management)
b) Use of persistent threads...

If I let it use the latest SDK to compile, but change android:targetSdkVersion=26, then everything seems to be working properly again.

I solved this issue by using hQueryWithoutCorrection parameter in my queries
For exeample : HExecuteQuery(MyQuery,MySqLiteConection,hQueryWithoutCorrection)

Hi, PCSoft response on the problem of PersistenThreads use in Android 9 and TargetSDK:28. A new permission has yet to be assigned in the application manifest. At the moment it is necessary to add by hand the permission "android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE".

Currently no response to problems using HF in Android 9 with TargetSDK:28

Thank you for your solution on Android 9 with TargetSDK: 28.

I recompiled my apps in WM24 Update 3, for the provision of a 64bits version, as requested by Google.
Android 9 Arm64 users were experiencing crashes as soon as the app opened.

After setting on TargetSDK: 26, my app is working again.

I also sent a request to technical support for that.

Hi. In the generation of the application in the advanced options section you have a button to open the application manifest editor. There you must add that permission.
