Any instructions for setting up IIS on Windows 10.(Edited)
May 01, 2019 03:54PM
Having some issues with testing WB24 apps on windows 10. Static sites will run, but I can't get the SAAS24 or other dynamic sites to run. The last info in the help system refers to IIS 7/7.5. IIS version on windows 10 is 10.0.17763.1. It did NOT configure IIS properly upon instalation of WB24.

Thanks

Hi,

Did you run the diagnostics in the WAS ?

Yes I have run it. I get the following error:

The VI version of 'C:\WEBDEV 24 64\Programs\Framework\Win64x86\wd240vm64.dll' does not correspond.

Expected version: '01A240054v'

Version read: '01A240063m'

Seems that two versions are mixed up here. Of the WAS I mean.

It is looking at the 64bit dll per the error message and I now have the 32bit ide running.

Actually I did try to install the 64 bit version first. Thinking I was going to try the webification. Had some issues with WD24 64 bit version. So went back and installed 32bit all around. I guess that when un-installing the 64, some files or references were left over. I will try to remove all WB24 and start over. Thanks

OK, I found it. Two versions of the dll's installed on my machine. It was looking at the folder that was installed when the release version was 54 and not the latest 63. I simply copied the DLL folders from the 63 install to the old one. And now it works.

Follow up.

Totally removed all versions of WB24. Reinstalled 32bit. Still some weird stuff with IIS. Current error:

Launcher: existence of launcher in the virtual directory

TCP/IP error, recv() failed. Wrong response from the Web server.

A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.
(Code : 10060)

Thanks, not very educated on IIS directly here. Probably figure it out.
Realized today that I have been debugging others tools/software for 39 yrs now. And WX since V7.5.

On one server we are using, we also had problems with IIS. Suddenly stopped working. Probably a Windows update !?!?
We installed Apache webserver and that seems to work OK. Only thing we are struggling with is to put a certificate in.

Installation of the WAS detects if you are using Apache and installs itself with the right parameters after you run diagnostics.

Hi,

I have no experience with version 24 yet, but I understand that a new feature is the native webserver that does not need a webserver installed on the developer machine.
If you're not using this feature, I'm assuming that you did not install the WAS on the developer machine as it will surely cause problems.
Did you try to run the Tools, WDadmin, Advanced TAB, Diagnostics button from within the editor?
If so, if any errors occurred, did you click on the "Correct" button?

Regards,
Piet
