CMS in WEBDEV?

Hi,

has anybody thought of [or better developed] a CMS with WEBDEV?
Something like a simple Wordpress?

if you mean a web site whose content is coming from the DB (articles and such) then yes.. my website is done that way.
(article pages, chapter pages, dynamic menu, etc, etc)

does it support:
- themes/templates/CSS ...
- extension modules etc ...
with the above I mean with code/files EXTERNAL to the system.

We are using Wordpress and WIX for most of our "quick and dirty" web jobs, but when the "sites" get a little more complicated, it is a nightmare ...
To be fair, WIX is a lot better at the UI level than Wordpress, but it is not as mature, at the developer level.

So we are looking for something else ...

hooo...

it seems that you are asking if any pre-made html/css templates can be used with webdev, and the answer is NO. Amm the code is generated by webdev all the time, so except for using part of css files as styles in webdev, you will not be able to use templates as in wordpress...

I did start to code this kind of things in my site (colors are customizable, by example); but I did not code that the whole way and I certainly did not relly on anything external to my web site for that.

Hi Peter,

I have been "struggling" with a Wordpress site all week, trying to do some simple modifications and the UI is really killing me.
I fix something in one extension and it "breaks" every other page and so on ...
And I am very "conservative" - I use extensions and themes only from AUTOMATTIC [Owners of Wordpress].

I know that there are many CMS systems to choose from, BUT it really takes a lot of time to understand how to extend them - and I hate PHP and Javascript and CSS and so on
