Ericus: [WD21]Email PDF Reports

Hi

In Windev when a report is displayed there is an option to 'Email with
Attached PDF'

This used to work fine at my client.

Now they have ESET NOD32 Anti Virus and this thing is integrated with
Outlook 2010.

Now an email is not automatically created with the attached PDF.

What to do please?

Hi Ericus,

maybe, the question is better sent to ESET: how to fix that problem -
exactly caused by ESET ? Maybe, there's a switch in ESET to let a
program execute the mailto: thing

Btw, the Print Preview can be found in \WINDEV23\Programs\Data\Preview
in "source". I never dealt with that, I cannot see any code behind the
said button. Maybe, a collegue on this forum is able to detail how to
find / change the code and compile those bits and pieces into a usable
.exe? If ESET has no solution then you have to send e-mails by smtp ...

Hi Ericus,

afaik this option create an temporary EML file and then "shellexecutes"
it, which in turn uses Outlook to "open" this file. As a result you got
yourself an new email window to complete.


Search this forum for EML and you find more hints and tips. Or search
Google with EML and ESET to find some clues.
