Cursor autoadvance between edit fields, how

Conditions:
3 edit fields two of them have 3 characters 1 has two characters.

Task:
- when window is opened then the cursor is in the first edit field as soon as one types it should overrite the content of that field. Once 3 characters are enterd then the cursor should jump to second field and the same as in field one would apply. The idea behind is that one can quickly enter data in the 3 fields without having to select the edit fields.

Question:
how can I make the cursor jump from one field to the next as soon as the maximum of chracters is enterd?
