I am looking for some input.

I currently have a website up that was written in PHP using MySQL for the Data.

I first want to develop the backend ( inhouse user programs) in WinDev.

I know know how to connect to the MySQL DB through WinDev using the Native MySQL Access. It seems clean and simple other than the fact that I am loosing the connection sometimes which aborts the program.

My question is ... is this the best way to do it or is there another way that would be for effective / efficient using HyperFiles and then communicating to update the MySQL files?

Please provide your opinions and suggestions ....
