INI or XML

I have red some info on INI and XML, where they suggest that writing a XML file is faster.....

The tool I am working on has a setup/prefrence window. This info should be stored in a ini file or any other way.
My question, does WinDev provide any neat to know function to store several settings in a simple way, or do I need to specify it for each control?
The main purpose is to retain all enterd values of the preference page and perhaps back up in case of reinstallation.

You can use InitParameter to set the place where settings will be saved.
