There were some posts in the old forum about offering WebDev hosting.

Is anyone doing it yet?

Is it possible for you to do it yourself?

Even with a dynamic ip address, it is easily doable.

Webdev server set up running on IIS. Hope to launch it in a week!

Hi Rich,

No pointers, except make sure IIS is set up properly. if it is, when you install the application server, it recognizes and set itself up properly. I think I only hadd to make one setting change.

If using dynamic ip then make use of some service like dns2go.

I have a 10 meg line down 768 up so the up speed is not fantastic, but the application still runs super fast. In fact my clients who use the applications can't believe it is not adesktop app.

Make sure the server is 'hardened' which I had an associate of mine do. I've been running for 1 year without ANY issues.

I guess one bit of advice, make sure you have a good server. We purchased a Dell Server for under $1500. Oh yea, make sure you have a good backup plan in place.

I've got a sever set up for my clients but would like to separate my website from the clients'.
